Belated birthday goodies!!
First off, it feels nice to be away from work. Though it did feel funny when I had to drive this morning to put gas in both the car and truck. It'll feel even weirder once I get the chance to ride my bike again.
Not for certain yet but we might take a bike trip to Oklahoma during the Labor Day weekend, maybe for 2 days (pends on if bubba's bike gets back from the shop in time or not though we could always take mine *lol*). If we do, I just hope the weather holds out for us. This would be my first time to go to OK.
I made some progress yesterday on cleaning the house and writing up my 2nd idea for Renji's birthday since the first idea probably won't be done till later. The 2nd fic is based on yet, another pic that was posted on![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
renji_rukia recently. This should be much shorter than what the 1st fic will be.

Yesterday I finally got the last of my bday goodies in the mail and am still so ecstatic over it. I posted the pics beneath the cut.
This is just soooo fucking awesome!!!!!! Kudos to Funimation for releasing such an awesome dvd boxset. Too bad they did give us extras in it, say, like maybe the first OST. But since I'm asking for too much, they did include stickers and in each dvd release, they have a guitar pick (which I forgot to take pics of).
The dub really impressed me, they got the voices down pretty damn good and the singing is just as good. Sure, it's not as good as the original in the silly sense of things cause the characters aren't speaking Engrish or singing in Engrish. Greg Ayres is perfect for Koyuki. The only thing that did annoy me is how the dub changed Ryuusuke's guitar from Lucille to Prudence. That is such a lame and pussified name. Lucille made more sense considering the history the guitar had. I don't understand if it's cause of copyright issues or what but Harold uses it in the manga and the original anime used it too so what gives?
I love the anime (though I wish they would've continued on instead of ending it the way they did) and lovelovelove the manga (though my slacker ass needs to catch up on buying the vols I don't have 4 on up). The music dork in me is proudly showing!
