I Am the Walrus.....
I've had half of this typed up since Fri night and never got around to finishing up till tonight so I thought since I did all that hard work of typing everything, I might as well post it. Probably one of my longer entries and this one is a rant entry. So some parts may not be pretty.
Ugh, where to start. Payday last week sucked hairy donkey balls cause of being on vacation. I’ve used up all the time I had (before I earn more the month after)which left me being out with no pay for 2 and a half days. That little bit can really show especially when your use to your reg amount. I wouldn’t mind working overtime by staying Sat mornings but don’t think that would matter any. That extra 4 hrs or so doesn’t really show up after taxes.
THEN Fri night at work I decided to BRAVELY watch Weiss Kruez: Gluhen eps 1&2 . *Sigh * It sucks ass when your spoiled by subtitles and then have to go back and resort to raw Japanese. But hey, it was good to finally see something of the new series. I am curious to see the rest of it now regardless of how pissed off it already made me. I could do w/out seeing Ran w/ the Duo look alike braid. Probably the only time when I wished I had scissors to cut the damn thing off. (new thought to give the scissor stabbing peeps who make the funny pics) Same with that stray piece of hair that hangs in Omi’s face *snip snip * Also they seem to can’t make up their mind as to what color Ran’s hair should really be, one time its an odd red color, the next it’s a brownish red kinda like what dried blood looks like. I yearn for his trademark red hair from the reg. series. The new kid Sena already grew on me the 1st eps and have yet to see how the other dude with the axe will be to my liking (might not take much after seeing his half nude form sitting up in bed *drools =3 *) At least it will probably ease some of the pain of the new Yohji look. Its still a bit hard for me to take to his new look. His nose seems too long in certain screen shots and of course it still irks me about the hairdo. Yet for some reason I can tolerate Ken’s. Speaking of Ken, I thought of this tonight after seeing him in those HUGE goggles. Look at a pic of Yoko Ono and then look at the new Ken….. see anything similar? *bursts into a fit of giggles* Sorry, your going to have to supply your own Yoko and Ken pics, I don’t feel like looking up any links.
But after reading Barb’s post about the difference between the old series to the new one, I can see what she means. To me though, sure the new series, the animation seems to have stepped up a notch or two from the original but after looking at the two, I still prefer the old style WK. Something I noticed but then again it could be a fluke on my part. The newer characters that show up in WK seem to be drawn better than the actual WK boys themselves.
Let's see what else I can rant about.....
I finished up my Stephen King book Black House and I’m having mixed emotions about it. Yes I could perhaps see something else developing from this little series for how he ended it but its not necessary. Its covered all that it needed to cover. I was a bit sad on how it ended but knowing the way things were headed, it was bound to happen (My lips are sealed). But something else I noticed about the ending. It seemed kinda rushed. Sure for the most part of this series is focused on Jack but after they did their rescue mission, you hear nothing else about the boy Ty. You get a glimpse of how his mother recovered but that’s about it.
Sure I have my gripes about the stuff Stephen King comes up with but one thing I do give him major credit for and that is not only his vivid imagination of odd settings/situations but I love the way he gives his characters a life of their own, as if they were real themselves. The attitudes and just the way he creates his characters has me in a bit of awe struck. And because of how he creates his characters makes it a lot easier to imagine what they look like, hence why I prefer the ppl in the book than the ppl they choose for his books turn movie. That’s why I’m not going to be happy with the way they already ruined the line up for Dreamcatcher. Good choice for actors but they could at least have stuck to what the characters from the book looked like. Jason Lee is in it but I’m sure his part isn’t going to be very long lived. But see, the main guy in the book is the one that wore the glasses and gee, what do they do for the movie? They give Jason Lee’s character the glasses while Thomas Jane’s (who plays the main dude/hero of the movie) role doesn’t even wear them. Another thing was the dog. In the book it was a collie but in the movie they use a german Shepard O__O Those were a few of the setbacks that pissed me off. I just don’t understand why they have to resort to something they make up and not use what the hell was created in the book to begin with!! I found a few others but its been awhile since I checked out the website.
Last but surely not least, I got an update from a Type O Negative list stating that they won’t be touring this yr. *throws Cartman sized hissy fit* That SOOOOOOOOOOOO BLOWS!!! I was looking forward to seeing them again in concert the end of the yr but I guess its not happening. They are STILL working on the new album so hopefully they will grace their fans with a new album AND tour sometime early next yr. I need my fix of seeing Type O Negative at least once a yr. (I think so far I’ve seen them 4 times) They are one band that is just very addicting to go see everytime they come around and I’m making it my mission in life to see them till the very end!!!
Speaking of Type O, I do have naked pics of Peter Steele (lead singer/bassist) from when he did the Playgirl spread. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........Julie didn't title him Mr. Meat for nothing ^___^ If curious about this hunk of flesh both parts of him (hehehehehe) let me know and I'll send some pics your way.
I actually have a happier entry coming up but I thought I’d just get the ranting and raving out of my system for the time being.
