Well I guess I can say its not really a rumor anymore. Bubba and I are buying back my '67 Mustang from our friend Terry who bought it off of me 3yrs ago. It was my first car when I came to Tx and a classic Mustang was something I yearned for when I was a wee child. I saw a few back in PA but my dad wouldn't let me have one cause of them being "too sporty for your age" and also cause of the bad snows we'd get at the time, having a car like that wouldn't have paid to have. We have been through this experience when my middle sis bought a '90 Camaro and she pretty much act like she didn't know how to drive the damn thing and wrecked it twice.
I have a pic of my car somewhere that I need to dig out and post so ppl can see what it looked/looks like. The reason I say that cause before we ever thought of selling it, we were stripping the car of its paint so we could do the body work and then give it a new paint job. Believe me, this is going to be our project work considering just HOW MUCH work the damn thing needs (it needed work when I stupidly bought the damn thing)
Its funny though, this is the car that got bubba and I together, its how we first met. Terry even said awhile back that "come on, you need to buy the car back, its like a momento to you guys." (more like a pain in the ass than a momento). Bubba and I were living in the same army barracks and day after I bought the car, it was already giving me problems so after we were dismissed for the day from the motorpool, even the stupid so called MECHANICS that were in my company had no fucking clue what was wrong with my car. Here comes bubba to the rescue as he was in the barracks parking lot working on his car too (he had a '70 Chevy Malibu) and checked to see if we needed any help and didn't realize that the chick behind the wheel, that it was my car. He spotted things out right away and he took me to the part store that night. Needless to say we hit it off right away and look at where it got us now? 6yrs of being together (and 5 of that being married). It was also conveinent that he lived on the 3rd floor while I was on the 1st so we got to see each other more than we would've thought.
I told bubba that once we get the Mustang back in working condition, we should sell it so I can get a '67-70 classic Camaro. (bubba doesn't like Fords to begin with plus older Camaro's rock too!)
