Ever since I joined
garfielddaily again, I always enjoy how they put in some old strips from that same day but different yrs. I like to see how much the characters have progressed in the designs though to be honest, I think I'll always be a fan of the older stuff, maybe not so much of the very first Garfield design, but later in the 80's. Seeing some of the past strips bring back memories cause I'd recall some of them in those hard back Garfield books they used to release (not sure if they still do that or not but my older sis started and then got me doing it).
I always love moments like this cause it's soooooo soooo TRUE! And not only that but if you have two papers; one that you are really looking at and the other serves as a decoy, the cat will GO STRAIGHT to the one you are truly looking at.

But see how smaller and fatter Garfield looks than now? The present day Garfield, his legs are too lean and long. You can totally see the difference if you look at the older strips and the new ones to compare to.
And what's funny is seeing the way Garfield is walking in that strip, looks exactly the way Sam walks. Not sure if it's cause of the weight or what but his back-end sticks up like that too. Also, not only does Sam try to lay on whatever kind of paper you are messing with, but if I do any kind of exercises on the floor (laying or sitting), he feels that he has to be where I am and just plop down next to me (mostly leaning) to where I can barely do any kind of workout.
I love this one too.

As for the itchies, Garfield has expressed my sentiments exactly, aside from the scratching part of course.

The area I had biopsied two weeks ago on my left shoulder is finally healing and every now and then it will ITCH like CRRRRRRAZZZZZY!!!! THANK GOD I have not woken up in the middle of the night by catching myself scratching it cause I would be in a world of hurting. Oh, for those that I told about my issue, the test came back negative. *phew!*
