In a weird music mood

I have no idea what's gotten into me lately with wanting to hear certain songs. So I downloaded the stuff I was hoping I could find. My list/mood consisted of::

KC and the Sunshine Band = Get Down Tonight, Shake your booty, I'm your boogie man, and Play that funky music (which is the ringer tone to my cell phone, its probably why I couldn't get that song out of my head)

The Gap Band = You dropped a bomb on me

Patrick Hernandez = Born to be alive (brings back so many memories when I was little. Mom had that song on a 45 single record and I wanted her to play that song all the time.)

and last but definitely NOT least Rod Stewart = Do ya think I'm sexy.


Most of these songs are nostalgic to me from my childhood with having two older sisters and a mother who loved music as well.

don't worry you are not alone,
I'm just as geeky when it comes to music, if not worse.

The Grease Soundtrack has been finding it's way to my cd player a little to often lately @_@ and ABBA(now that one I blame on my father) and I think I drove my rommy/best friend up the wall with my beatles cd lately, I'm surprised she hasnt hid it from me yet >.< -ehehe ::laughs nervously::

and I got every single one of those songs you named downloaded on my comp as well, along with a few thousand more >.>

I think I drove my rommy/best friend up the wall with my beatles cd lately,

Good thing she isn't around me then, I'd drive her insane. I'm a HUGE Beatles fan and I tend to get in my music faze when I feel like that is all I want to listen to whatever band is on my mind. As of late though its been Type O Negative, can't get enough of their stuff. I also did the same with Janis Joplin when I bought her 3 cd boxset a few yrs ago and drove my husband to hate her music cause it was all I would listen to.

The only time I download music if the song is on my mind and I know I don't have it and would love to hear it again. We have over 500 cds my collection and hubby's collection total. But even with that many, half the time its the stuff that your not in the mood to listen to.

oh god we have just as many cd's combined and close to 1000 dvd's (I counted @_@) and there's hardly ever anything we actually wanna listen to or watch >.< We just end up staring at our shelves for hours and then walking away and just sitting in silence +_+

I loooooove your icon piccy ^_^ I'm a huge 1xR fan and an even bigger Bambi Takada fan, I have quite a few of her doujinshis ^_^ I absolutly adore her work :) I was working on a 1xR piece for the animefest art auction but didn't get it finished in time ::pouts:: but I'll deffinitly have it ready by a-kon :P

God is that ever so true. We have at least 25-30 dvds and half of them are my anime and the other half are movies that we barely watch. And when it comes to music, I'll get in that mood like "what do I want to listen to, its like on the tip of my brain." So I'm looking down each row and nothing pops up unless something does spring into action and then listen to it and take it out only cause it wasn't what I was looking for. *sigh*

Thanx! I love her stuff too, with artists like that, it gives you that much more apprection for the love of that couple. I'd love to see what you are coming up with for your 1xR pic. I'm hoping I can make it to Akon again next yr, the only reason I want to go next yr is that its finally a break from the damn airport hotel scene. More space to roam without having to worry about losing parking spaces and such. I just hope this new hotel is worthy of space. I just think that the con scene has been lacking within the past yr or so hence why I'm not overly excited about attending them like I use to.

I added ya to my AIM list, feel free to do the same with me, just in case its duogundamw. I'm on mostly late nights since I chat at work, not so much on AIM when I'm at home (I use MSN there). Pending on how your work schedule is on being tied up, I'll have a chat with ya about some art ideas if you'd like.
