In the Naruto fandom's case it is the SasuNaru and kakaIru fans who flood the neighbourhood and for some reason i have yet to encounter an even decently interestingly or well written piece of it. The most amusing and best written Naruto fanwork I have read yet (and remember) is an Itachi/Naruto -and how bloody wrong is that?- thing so hey, I'm neither picky nor in lack of objectivity. So it is sad, the flooding of bad'n'boring fics yes it is.
