Manga, stuff, and new icons

This past weekend, Holly and I went to the mall and stopped in Dalton's Bookstore. I was hoping to find #1 Fruits Basket and was quite happy that they did have it, and one copy at that. I was also debating about getting FMP #3 and GW Eps. Zero (have it full book form and not the single issued versions). Then I saw that they had #2 of Trigun and was flipping through that. Needless to say, Trigun will be on my next list to get, hopefully I can get 1&2 when I get the chance to get Naruto #3. I had to laugh at the difference in character designs when it comes to manga Trigun and the anime. Not only that but WOW! the goriness thats in the manga doesn't compare to the tameness in the anime. I think I came to the part where Legato turned those goons in that bar into a bloody, severed mess O___O. I also wouldn't mind having the Trigun dvd boxset for either my bday or X-mas, might have to put a bug in ppl's ears about that when the time comes.

So needless to say, I only bought FB and Stephen King's "On Writing" only cause it was for $5 and plus mom is having a hard time finding the code numbers at her work to find me certain King books. I'm quite engrossed with Fruits Basket now even though I'm not done reading the book yet. I think the more I read it, the more I love Shigure. I didn't even know that was him in that fancy business suit and slicked back hair. And to think I'm not even a dog lover ^_~ but he's a cute, silly perv who I'm sure has a dark side somewhere. I'm anxious to see what the manga covers that the anime didn't. The manga is still going on right?


WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sub #22 of Gungrave came out Sunday night. I made a few more caps that I didn't post before. Plus I realized I have a few more I need to cap of #21 so I will most likely be posting both eps in one entry either later today or tomorrow.

I was actually going to give up on emailing Fanbitch twat cause I feel like I don't owe her an explanation as to how and why I run my community the way I do. Plus I gotta work on re-doing the bio too. But the more I stared at the email, the more I thought why not. Might as well let them know whats been on my mind. I should've just wrote::

I feel as I don't need to explain myself since you pretty much have taken care of things on your own.

I finally got off my ass and cashed in my LJ coupon after they opened up LJ to the masses. I had enough spare codes that it was enough to use it for 2 more free months of more icons. I had so many I wanted to use after wardove's recent batch of goodies.

In the meantime, since you are writing, I want to see a drabble written about this one - Rain Kiss, if you are in the writing mood.

And I really enjoyed Stephen King's On Writing. I thought I would be turned off by the autbiographical stuff at the beginning, but honestly, I wasn't. It was really quite fascinating to read. And his humor is just a riot. The writing part of the book was quite the eyeopener as well.

All in all, I highly recommend the book!

I skimmed over On Writing when I borrowed it from a friend but never pulled me in but I still heard alot about it so I really do want to give it another try since it is about himself. Once my attention span is long enough to focus on one thing, I want to try and read that first.

Reads "fine print" on coupon. Purchases have to be of equal value or more than equal value. So why do I get the feeling that they won't let me get the two months because that would leave 50 cents left? *Sigh*

Y'know, I learned a new phrase reading this entry: Fanbitch twat. I mean fanbitch was new to me but since you added twat to it that makes it a hundred times worse. That sounds like someone that needs to be sedated or beaten with a bat. *lol*

It sounds like writing that email was a pain in the ass but I hope that it makes things clear for her. It would've been nice if you could have just sent her that one line but that probably would've caused more drama.

I've never seen the Trigun anime but the art in the manga is something else. It took me a little while to get used to the style compared to the more polished art I'm used to in other mangas.

That part really shocked me! Legato is too hardcore. *cowers*

I really enjoyed King's 'On Writing'. He does a great job making it seem like he's having a conversation with the reader. The writing part was very helpful. After reading that book I'm always on the lookout for adverbs.

That icon meme sounds really interesting. I would love to see a ficlet based on the icon with Brandon and Maria dancing. *starry eyes*

Yeah, you know when you've done wrong when you get labeled a twat and thats a harsh word too. I know my older sis hates it when ppl say or hears the cunt word.

Oh believe me, what I was going through, you too would see why I have been so irritated In fact, I have this person's email here with me at work and I will email you tonight so you can see the dilema. You'll get a kick out of, as well as including my rough draft reply back.

Indeed the manga style to Trigun did take a bit to get use to but after flipping through it, you can see Nightow's skills with his Gungrave sketches that were in the artbooks. Its funny like a day or two after I posted this entry, you made one about buying manga too and Trigun at that ^_~

I can't wait to re-read On Writing again. I borrowed it from a friend last yr but never really got very far with it. I heard it was helpful.

Letting ya know I got the package in the mail on Monday. Will get to work on it as soon as I can gather all my discs, plus with all that I have, it may take a bit cause I'm waiting for the rest of Gungrave to be subbed (the assholes still have 23-26 to finish!!! >_< )
