Mother's Day stuff

I always hate holidays and bdays, especially when it comes to my mom. This woman is soooooooooooo hard to buy for!!! What do you get a woman who seems like she has everything that she wants? (in some aspect). I don't do flowers since they die and I would send a plant but I don't even know if she keeps plants anymore. She likes Boyd's Bears but I don't think we have any outlets in Texas like they do in back home in Gettysburg (even though my older sis is getting her a bear from there). My sis said about getting her something that has Texas on it, shirt wise or other. I can't even remember if the mall had a TX store or not and I really don't feel like running that far to the mall and made a trip for nothing. Then sis said something about mom wanting new towels. I ain't getting her towels or anything that requires mom's opinion, she can get that stuff herself. So needless to say, we just opted to get her a Wallyworld giftcard. When all else fails, why not? Plus it makes sense too since I don't live in the same state, this makes it easier on both of us.

Then looking for cards, some of them I'm standing there wiping at my eyes. Damn mushy cards! What will mom think!? ^_~ Though I have noticed the cards she has sent us these past few yrs have been pretty mushy too, something that is unlike mom to do as well as us doing too.

I do believe that to this day, mom still has some of the mother's day gifts that I made her while in 1st-3rd grade. In fact, I made her this coupon holder in 2nd grade and she wore that thing out!!! About 5-6 yrs ago, she mentioned that she needed something new to hold her coupons cause my holder was FINALLY falling apart. I couldn't believe that she was still using it. *sniffles and huggles nanny*
