Got an update about AnimeFest on Labor Day weekend in Dallas. I was quite happy to see the new guests. *bouncebounce*

Steve Blum – Doing voice over for national campaigns such as 7-11 and Cartoon Network’s Toonami Robot, Tom, this is one busy guy. One wonders how he can find the time to voice some of our favorite Anime voices such as Spike in Cowboy Bebop, Roger Smith from Big O, and Darcia from Wolf's Rain and more. This will be Steve’s first trip to Texas and
we hope not the last!

Brianne Siddall – Brianne is one exciting lady. This talented lady does a range of voices from Tsukasa in .hack//SIGN to Jim Hawking in Outlaw Star, from Ken-ichi in Metropolis to Tommy Himi in Digimon. Please join us in welcoming her to Texas!

I didn't know Jim's voice was a chick, she's done a good job on sounding like a boy.

Jamie McGonnigal – In fact, he worked both as an anime casting director as well as a voice actor on both Magic Users Club (Takeo) and Weiss Kreuz (Omi). You can also find Jamies vocal talents as Lemonade in Jungle Emperor Leo, Bud in Patlabor and that is just a sample.

Johnny Yong Bosch – This will be Johnnys first visit to AnimeFest but not his first to Texas. This young actor went to high school in the Dallas area before moving on to become a familiar face in Power Rangers as Adam Park. Johnny later moved on to using his vocal talents as Vash the Stampede in Trigun, Kaneda in Akira, Haruto Sakaki in Witch Hunter Robin and Kiba in Wolf's Rain and many more.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I so can't wait to meet him *bouncebounce* I never knew he was from the Garland area either till I read it awhile back, funny that.

Glad to see they got some nice guests coming (unlike Akon sheesh).

I just got the e-mail from AFest... *sigh*

Awww... I won't be making it to AFest this year... hopefully they'll have a decent guest line-up for 2005 and I'll make the drive down with my chibi, since next year's Akon will probably be the last weekend in May once again (my kid will be in school until the first week in June)...

Was actually amazed that AF hooked him in. Good on them! I vaguely recall that he had a very bad exp. w/a fan. It was at a con a few yrs back, and he swore off of cons ever since. Hopefully no one will ruin it this go-round.

Brianne Siddall also does the voice of Tooboe in Wolf's Rain. Hmm... Kiba, Tooboe, Darcia ... it's quite the Wolf's Rain line up!

Still a bummer about not being able to make it. I'm sure that Afest will blow Akon out of the water this yr too. At least Afest KNOW how to get the right guests to come, Akon doesn't seem to care all that much.

YES! I was quite surprised too. I heard about that too of his bad experience with a fan. I wonder what all happened. I feel so sorry for these ppl, they should NEVER EVER have to put up with that fangirl/boy bullshit and its even more sad to see the fans act like this.

Before I forget, since I'm really lazy about catching up with everyone, I'll be sending your anime package out hopefully by the end of the week. Inside will be Scrapped Princess and Gungrave. Thought I better send you Gungrave as early as I can so you can see for yourself if you might actually be interested in buying the dvd when it comes out July 6.

I forgot all about that! DOH!! But it'll be definintely a nice change of pace instead of GW all the time. Too bad they couldn't get Crispin Freeman to make it, in some ways, I wouldn't mind meeting him too just cause his deep voice doesn't seem to go with his face. OR better yet, the guy who does Hubb and Gene Starwind, I LOVE that guy, just wish they would use him more in anime.
