I did want to try and clean my compy room today and my closet just so it looks neater but I got sucked into watching a documentary that I've been wanting to see for some time now. I caught the first bit of it last week when I was at mom's house and was hoping that they would show it again once I got back to TX. PBS is showing that Ken Burns film about the Civil War and even though I believe they said its a total of 9hrs long w/ 9 chapters throughout, I must say that I pretty much saw all of it today. To some it may be boring if your not into history such as far back as when the Civil War was. To me, perhaps it was my growing up in such a bountiful history area that surrounds the southern part of PA and being very close to Gettysburg, learning more and more about the Civil War intrigues me. I believe I have learned more by watching this documentary than what all they teached us in school (and while I think of it, it didn't seem like they covered very much in school) To see the pics that were taken back in that era on the battlefield and seeing the dead bodies, at times brought tears to my eyes. Hearing the HUGE amount of casulties in just one day's worth of fighting left my jaw agape. My love for history before the start of the 1900's is what catches my attention more than the things that have went on from WW1 on up to the things to this day in age. I do recommend watching that Civil War special even if you only catch certain parts, its still interesting to learn and see or even if you aren't into that kind of stuff.

I'm also finally going through my package that War Dove sent me that has cds full of amvids, the complete FMP anime series *swoons!*, Yami No Matsuei, along with being able to get myself to sit down and watch Ai No Kusabi the whole way through, and the new Kenshin OVA 'Seisouhan'. Right now I'm just concentrating on watching all of FMP cause I'm addicted and in love with not just the characters but the anime itself I think is beautifully done. Their eyes have that brightness to them as in how Yami No Matsuei's characters are. Mmmmm....and yummy! I just found out that two of the main guys on the show are the voice actors from WK. Sousuke is Ken's seiyuu Seki Tomokazu and Kurz is Miki Shinichirou. Kurz's character as well as having Miki do his voice fits perfectly for the character considering that Kurz is:: cheerful, casual, flirty. Lewd, even. He really likes beer, and pretty girls (probably girls more, but beer is easier for him to get!). And he has the sort of sense of humor that allows him to almost always make a joke, even in dire situations. It's easy to dismiss him as a womanizing slacker. But in addition to being a good AS pilot, his real worth is from his sniping ability. Also he rarely gets angry, but when he does he doesn't hold back.

I forgot to note in yesterday's journal about the situation we noticed while at the Thruway Rest stop in Upstate NY. After hubby and I met up in the open area, he asked me if I noticed anything odd amongst the other ppl that were there since I did feel as if some were staring at us. We were the very few and rare ones there who were wearing shorts. Everyone else were in pants w/ light coats on as if it were freezing. It was a tad chilly cause of the rain but hell it wasn't THAT bad. I couldn't help but laugh.

Ah, might as well get sucked back into watching more Adult Swim.
