party time, excellent! or should I say OUTRAGOUS! Never in my life did I think I would ever see a Jem and the Holigrams eps since I was a kid. I joined starlight music not long after I started my LJ. Someone just recently posted a link or two to some Jem or Misfits site so I took a peek and boy did the memories just come flooding in. I was barely able to watch many Jem eps cause when the showed it on weekday mornings, it came on right before my bus would come pick me up (and keep in mind this cartoon was out when I was in 6th grade I believe). I think the last of the eps were aired around '87. After checking out the sites, the pics, the dolls, etc brought a smile to my face. The only thing that made me mad was that I started to get into the collecting fase not long before they quit making the dolls and things were getting harder to find. At least I was able to collect the 1st ed. Jem doll, Aja (blue haired guitarist of the Holigrams), and Roxy from the Misfits. And to this day I still have those dolls too which I'm proud to say ^_^. This one informative site had a few eps to download so I did that tonight at work and just had to laugh at how old and long ago this cartoon was made. But I will say that I'm still in love with it. I was hoping to see an eps sometime soon when the Stingers appear (had the male lead singer Riot and two back up chicks) God, to see the fashions all those characters wore on the show is hilarious, then again, thats the early-mid 80's style for ya.

Must also be flashback day for me besides the Jem situation. Earlier today on the sci-fi channel, they showed Willow. I was OBSESSED with that movie when it first came to theaters and was madly in love with Madmartigan (Val Kilmer played the role just right) which that too was released in '88. After checking up on this one site tonight, I had no idea what they had planned after it was made. Here is a snippet of the info:: It was followed by a trilogy of book sequels published between 1995 and 1999, known collectively as The Chronicles of the Shadow War. but nothing was ever done about it. I still have some of the few things I collected from that movie such as the sticker book, posters that KRAFT offered if you sent in UPC's and a form, also I got the mini figures that they released. I wished I collected more of those dolls but I could only do with what I was able to get since my parents couldn't afford to buy us kids toys all the time. I think Willow is on my list of movies that I won't get tired of watching. The other movie that I don't tire of is Ferris Buller's Day Off..... ahhh....what a classic! *snickers*

Wed, I was able to catch an eps of DBZ since I've been back from vacation and this eps too almost had tears in my eyes. Goku's time was FINALLY up (sure is one fucking long day, if that were to happen in real life, I'd go completely mental) and he was saying his good-bye's to Gotan (as well to chi chi and the gang), who was shy to ask his father for a hug. *cue sentimental scene, sniffles*

Fri nights are usually my slow nights at work and it irks me that the free time I have, I try to put it to use but all I do is just sit here staring at the compy screen. I'm in no mood to add onto my fics, I'm not inspired to draw, and I really need to smack my hand for watching FMP again for its 2nd time. I should go ahead and watch Yami No Matsuei since War Dove wants to know what I think about it. Also later tonight on chat, stella and Vi were on since it seems like its been forever since the last I've talked to any of them or seen them online. Haven't talked to Rose or emailed her since Afest so I guess she'll be one of the many on my list that I need to send back emails. I hate slacking off when it comes to responding back to ppl. *sigh*

Going to Houston this weekend to see Holly since she needs someone there for her and will probably go and see Spirited Away, I'm hoping its a good anime movie considering the high praises I've been reading about earlier.

Must go keep self occupied for the time being.
