As for the weekend, hubby and I got the new thing. I can't say what this new thing is cause I told Holly I want to surprise her with it. So ixnay on the newtay. (yes I made that up). Since I stayed up all day on Sat for this thing, I was sooooo dead tired and when we finally got home, I went straight to bed around 6pm. Hubby tried to keep me awake cause he didn't want to go to bed that early either but it seemed that neither of us had the problem of passing out. I got up when he did the next morning so I could watch the 1st Harry Potter on HBO. I missed the very beginning but other than that, its okay I guess. Mon morning on one of the morning shows, they had the guy who does Draco's dad. I thought he looked familiar but couldn't place what else he played on till they said what roles he did. He was the ASSHOLE on The Patriot, I soooo hated his character throughout the movie. And have I mentioned that The Patriot left me depressed for 2 days? I also got around to watching the Inu Yasha eps I taped Sat night and even that was a sad eps but Shippou was in it and whining about having to be stuck hanging around Inu Yasha till Kagome came back *weeee!*
Called Mom on Sunday and she said that Ethan wanted this DBZ toy. He liked it that much that he told mom that "we should get Aunt Becky one too." So from the sound of it, mom got me one as well. *snickers* She was explaining to me what it looked like and goes "It had blond hair." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Its kinda hard to explain to someone who doesn't watch the show that certain characters WILL have blond hair, she just couldn't remember the name. Plus it was one of the dolls that has the Ki ball attached to their hand and makes noises and the ball flashes. I seen them before at Wal-mart. And thanx to my evil doing, I got Ethan exposed to anime at such a tender age of 2yrs old (which was back in '00) now that he's 4, he likes it more now. I should look into getting him a child DBZ shirt for X-mas that way he has something else besides his Power Rangers and Star Wars shirts.
Now onto my ramblings of DBZ as of recently. Since Toonami keeps changing their lineup, I kinda missed out on the newer eps that involve Buu. The last time I saw an eps was last week I believe when Vegeta came from King Yama's place in order to help Goku out on defeating Buu. This was also where Goku wanted him to fuse with him to make Vegetto. Here lately, the interactions between Goku and Vegeta is like slapstick comedy. Goku pouts and carries on when Vegeta doesn't want to do whatever Goku says and Vegeta's whitty dry remarks and the faces he makes is priceless. Today's eps was pretty funny and I never thought I would ever see this side of Vegeta of being commical, only he doesn't realize it. But its funny to see how much his character changed especially when it comes to his family. When he came back from the dead, Goku informed Vegeta what happened (meaning Buu eating everyone) and when Goku mentioned Bulma and Trunks, Vegeta had a mixture of sadness, loss, and revenge to get his family back *sniffles* I also kinda missed out on the later eps cause of the Buu situation was getting boring (which goes along with Freeza, Cell, and the androids). But now it seems to be getting pretty interesting.
Now on the depressing side of things for DBZ and if you are a voice actor fan is this. The Ocean Group casting (which most of us associate them being Scott, Kirby, Brian, David, etc) have re-done ALL of the DBZ eps but this is for the british distrobution (and probably other overseas releases). What I wouldn't do to own all the re-done eps now cause to know that Kirby does Goku and Brian is back as Vegeta, I can only imagine how awsome it sounds when Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegetto (their voices are combined when they talk). Plus Buu is done by Scott. Whats really weird with the fusion is that their first stage is Vegetto which has more of Vegeta's personality in it. Later when they fuse again, they become Gogetto which is more of a mix of Goku (not sure if they do that version in the series or just the movie, can't think of which one though). It would be nice though if this version would be available to U.S. fans, then I would think about actually getting some of the dvds. [End of Rant]
Hubby thought of an idea for Thanksgiving and inviting Holly to come up for that weekend. It would be neat if she is able to do so.
I'm so freakin sleepy since I stayed up on Mon afternoon to go to the early Thanksgiving dinner that was held at the fire dept hubby vol's for. I'm sooooooooooo gonna crash out once I get home and get to bed. I be sleeping like its no one's business!
