Actually not too much going on but thought I'd think of something to write here. Made some more pigs in the blanket this morning... yum yum!!!
Is it me or when it comes to finding cards for holidays or occasions, that its really hard to find good ones???? I usually get my cards at Walmart but as of late, I can't find SHIT! My sister told me she has the same problem to the point where if you want good ones, you pay an arm and a leg at Hallmark. She did say once Target had a better selection than Walmart but I really dont shop at Target much. So today, I went and stocked up on Val.Day cards for my family and its hard to find single cards for one grandparent or parents. After spending like a half hr in the card section, I found a decent card for mom, my grandpa, and it was really hard to find something silly and not sappy for my sister. I really hate looking for cards.
Then later, I still catch myself watching the new Speed Racer on Nickelodeon and the eps they showed today was pretty funny. A young racer who's name I believe was Kid or Crasher wanted to race against Speed so bad. But the thing is, he has a thing for Trixie and tries to race the best to his knowledge just to impress Trixie. He tries to give up cause Speed was ahead of the game and Speed had a pep talk with him saying "don't give up yet, give it your best cause I'm not going to back down." So the kid tries and even though he didn't win (gee we didn't see that coming did we? *rolls eyes*) Speed helps the kid out of his car since he exhausted himself. Once he was cohearant enough to speak for a bit, Trixie comes over to congradulate both racers and the kid tells her that a few more yrs for him to grow up and he'll come for her or that he will try to be her boyfriend *snickers* What happens afterwards had me laughing cause it was like a 1xR moment near the end of Endless Waltz. The kid collapses of exhaustion in Trixie's arms and she bunkers down to hold him up wondering what did she do? Speed picks on her "what are you doing Trixie, slow dancing?" I know that this new Speed Racer is just as cheesy as the original one and the voices suck ass too but I can't help watching it regardless of how they never seem to show any new eps, I'm getting tired of the endless repeats. But what do we have here? They even have a bish looking competitor for Speed, can't remember his name but he's got long blueish/grey hair pulled back in a ponytail. Something tells me that I won't be surprised if I see any yaoi fics out there with those two *shudders*
But Invader ZIM was hella funny today afterwards.
My music rec that I have today is courtesy of my nephew. The band is called Chevelle and the song that they play on the radio as well as the video on MTV/MTV2 is called The Red. I said something to my sis about the band today and she's kinda tired of hearing the song on the radio. I don't listen to the radio much but I have seen the video. If your tired of the song like she is, I still recommend listening to the whold cd, I think it ROCKS! One of the few good new albums that is out right now. The cd is called Wonder What's Next.
