The title speaks for itself. I've been stuck in Dallas since Tues and I won't be able to go to my own home till Fri morning *sobs* I was on the way to brave the roads this morning when I got off work but after I heard on the traffic news on the radio, a certain highway was closed off cause of tractor trailers caused such a ruckus (sliding all over the damn road) and made it impossible to even drive in that area. So I called up bubba, told him the situation and wondered if I should even make the journey home. I know my main boss and the 1st shift guy said that I should just stay at the Inn again. Bubba agreed so I got off the next exit and made my way back again.

Alot of ppl said that the roads were worse than what they were on Tues morning since Tues night it rained for a little ontop of the re-frozen shit on the road.

Funny thing was that I was going to mention it to bubba about coming into Dallas and stay the night with me that way he's already in the area for when he has to go to work on Thurs. But before I mentioned that to him, he brought that up to me on what he was thinking (I tend to think that we scare ourselves on that brainwave level). It took him 4 hrs to get to Dallas and it only takes us an 1hr 1/2 to where we have to go O___O. The roads were still pretty bad in certain areas that he had to go through in the afternoon.

I would've tried to go home on Thurs afternoon after he left for work but then it wouldn't make sense just to make that trip back into dallas the same night to go back to work *sigh* So I dread to see what my inbox looks like but I'll be making a trip to his work to check my email Thurs evening since I can't do that at work (like I said, my life for a laptop).

The roads looked real good this evening when we went out to eat, plus it helps that the temperatures have been rising a bit and staying at a decent temp at night.

Since I stayed in bed all Tues, I wasn't overly tired when I went back to the Inn this past morning. So I was flipping through the channels and found that the AMC channel were showing some old Jerry Lewis movies. I caught the tale end of Cinderfella (which I never saw before) and then they showed The Nutty Professor I liked the original better, Jerry Lewis was quite the character for that role, then again I like the movies that Jerry and Dean Martin did together (yes I know Dean wasn't in that one). Then around 12:30 I was checking out Nickelodeon and there was this cartoon that had a blue octopus and his weiner dog called "Weeny" (who looked like a hot dog)*snickers* Yes it was quite kiddiefied but Oswald (thats what the show was called) was a cute little round octopus (who's voiced by Fred Savage O___O yes the Wonder Yr's kid) who was very well mannered and his penquin friend is voiced by Squiggy (the dude from Lavern and Shirley). Then I finally went to bed.

Tonight when I got into work, the 2nd shift dude showed me what all he printed out of what his workload was. I looked on the cart and it was empty. He said that the whole time he was in 2-11pm, he had NO WORK to do O__O;;;;; He was telling me how no one really came into work today maybe with the exception of some of the 1st floor ppl (us), 2nd fl and 3rd fl peeps (and this is an 11th story building). Oh well, at least I didn't have to waste any vacation time during this messy weather.

Now all I want to do is hurry to be home and download Wolf's Rain #6 from War Dove. I've waited too damn long for this!!!!!!!!

Since my workload is slow (but thank god not as slow as the 2nd shift), I'm between wanting to write and watch more Kare Kano. Choices choices ^__^
Mr. Rogers died yesterday/today at the age of 74 from stomach cancer. I saw it on the CNN update news when I went to refill my water bottle and was quite shocked by it.

I always loved his show and I learned quite a bit from it too. How they make crayons, how they make brass instruments, and other things like topics he discussed for the day.

My sisters and I grew up watching that show and the old skool Sesame Street (I don't like the new politically correct version). I recall when I was little in the early '80's, mom would have PBS on so we could watch SS and Mr.Rogers cause she thought too that we kids could learn something new and help us along besides what she taught us and what we learned in school.

Does anyone recall the old Bill Cosby show on PBS that I think was called Bill Cosby and his magic marker? I'm not sure if thats the title or not but I do know he had a magic marker that talked and he would draw neat things with (plus it was funny to see Bill Cosby with an afro).

I freaked when I heard this tour going on right now with a certain classic band. Hold onto your seats now...........................

THE DOORS

are touring this yr O___O BUT to me, I wouldn't call them the Doors cause John Densmore (the drummer) won't be with them, I think he and the rest of the band are at each others throats, not sure why. That would be like calling it a Beatle Tour but only with Paul and Ringo. It just doesn't work when you don't have the rest of the ppl in the band and use the name.

So its only Ray and Robbie with Ian Astbury as their singer (he's the lead singer from The Cult kick ass band). I think Ian will do a SMASHING good job in Jim's place, I always loved Ian's voice and the 1st time I saw The Cult live in '99, Ian's look was close to Jim's with the snakeskin pants and the way he moved.

[edit] Excuse me, its not The Doors but The Doors 21st Century. I guess they were thinking the same way I was when complaining about calling them the Doors when they don't have the full band memebers (and not including the dead one either) But at least the ppl on the radio agree with me that Ian will do a great job in place of Jim. [/edit]

In a way I would like to see this concert next month but I guess its not going to ruin my life if I don't.

Another band thats getting together again to tour are the Eagles, I guess they are running out of money again and are just as bad as Ozzy when they can't make up their mind that they are going to give up touring.
