Woke up around 5:30 this morning cause I just couldn't sleep anymore and decided to watch the rest of my Witch Hunter Robin dvd. But before that, I was flipping through channels and TBS had Shawshank Redemption on and I heard so much about it but never got the chance to watch it. I'm glad I did even though I missed like the first 15 mins of it. Who would've thought how moving this movie was. Tim Robbins character blew me away on his smarts and to see how the prison guards and warden were so apt on following his requests. Of course they still fucked him over alot too which was so wrong. The ending though, I'm glad they had a good ending cause if it would've had a really shitty ending, I would've been so pissed. The weird thing I noticed though is that as the times were supposed to have gone by, sometimes the characters aged and then when they show them later, it looks like they didn't age at all.
Plus after checking some things out, I'm so excited to see that this movie came from Stephen King's book called Different Seasons, a compilation of short stores that ALSO includes Stand By Me (aka. The Body). I think I'll give the Shining a break and dig into D.Seasons since the recent box mom sent me with books included that.
As for game wise, last night's Dallas Star's hockey game on tv was awesome, at least the fights that I seen. The ending to the game was perfect, a fight broke out between our goalie and Tennessee's Predator player and all hell broke loose. When it comes to the goalies getting hit, no one from the team takes to that lightly and the fighting was just so kick ass!!! Funny too that it was right when the game ended so no one had to worry about any penalties, plus the Stars won 3-1 BOOYAH!
Now to try and concentrate on doing something productive today while bubba is screaming his head off during the Cowboy game. I got fics that need done, emails that need replied to, and after looking at some GW pics, I'm getting in the mood to watch my dvds again.
