Yesterday was the start of the cold front that moved in. Now THIS is how its supposed to feel for Dec, not 70'ish degrees. Except I could do without the wind. So I looked out the back door and saw the puppy huddled into a ball again near the old towel he likes to sleep or play with. I asked bubba if we could use one of the old blankets we have in the garage that we used when we moved. Told him how pathetic the dog looked since his BRAND NEW dog house was just a hop, skip, and jump away from where he was laying. Bubba gave me an idea. Move the doghouse to the corner that the dog likes to sleep in and put the blanket inside when I go to feed him.
Well what the fuck do you know!!!!?? The bastard actually laid in the box!!!!!! ON the BLANKET!!!! Bubba thinks that the way it was postioned before, it was facing the wind hence why the dog laid on the other side of the porch. Hopefully the dog will take a hint and lay in it more. I always hated to see animals out in the cold shivering when they have a place to actually sleep IN. I always felt bad for our farm cats in the winter cause I would always try and lock them in the barn and dad yelled at me. Only cause the cats would have no way out since everything was closed in. And no we are not bringing the dog into the house either, its not where he belongs.
Oh and before I forget, we finally came up with a name for this fat puppy (I can't believe how fat he got). His name is Rusty. Gotta try and take some pics of him before he gets any bigger and that is IF he sits still for me. Damn hyper dog.
