Manga, stuff, and new icons

This past weekend, Holly and I went to the mall and stopped in Dalton's Bookstore. I was hoping to find #1 Fruits Basket and was quite happy that they did have it, and one copy at that. I was also debating about getting FMP #3 and GW Eps. Zero (have it full book form and not the single issued versions). Then I saw that they had #2 of Trigun and was flipping through that. Needless to say, Trigun will be on my next list to get, hopefully I can get 1&2 when I get the chance to get Naruto #3. I had to laugh at the difference in character designs when it comes to manga Trigun and the anime. Not only that but WOW! the goriness thats in the manga doesn't compare to the tameness in the anime. I think I came to the part where Legato turned those goons in that bar into a bloody, severed mess O___O. I also wouldn't mind having the Trigun dvd boxset for either my bday or X-mas, might have to put a bug in ppl's ears about that when the time comes.

So needless to say, I only bought FB and Stephen King's "On Writing" only cause it was for $5 and plus mom is having a hard time finding the code numbers at her work to find me certain King books. I'm quite engrossed with Fruits Basket now even though I'm not done reading the book yet. I think the more I read it, the more I love Shigure. I didn't even know that was him in that fancy business suit and slicked back hair. And to think I'm not even a dog lover ^_~ but he's a cute, silly perv who I'm sure has a dark side somewhere. I'm anxious to see what the manga covers that the anime didn't. The manga is still going on right?


WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sub #22 of Gungrave came out Sunday night. I made a few more caps that I didn't post before. Plus I realized I have a few more I need to cap of #21 so I will most likely be posting both eps in one entry either later today or tomorrow.

I was actually going to give up on emailing Fanbitch twat cause I feel like I don't owe her an explanation as to how and why I run my community the way I do. Plus I gotta work on re-doing the bio too. But the more I stared at the email, the more I thought why not. Might as well let them know whats been on my mind. I should've just wrote::

I feel as I don't need to explain myself since you pretty much have taken care of things on your own.

I finally got off my ass and cashed in my LJ coupon after they opened up LJ to the masses. I had enough spare codes that it was enough to use it for 2 more free months of more icons. I had so many I wanted to use after wardove's recent batch of goodies.

Screencaps for Gungrave eps. 21 & 22

BLARGH!!!!! I couldn't sleep AT ALL today and I don't know why. I wasn't stressing or anything nor did I have anything with caffeine. Perhaps that small nap I took at work last night did me in since I had nothing to do. So trying to kill time this afternoon to try and make me sleepy, I defeated Gungrave for the 2nd time but still no sleepy yet.

I know I'm a bit late with getting #21 caps up but I had a hard time deciding what to cap without giving spoilers hence why some areas are shoddy. Since the sub of #22 finally came out, I also added more caps to the ones I already made, more less cause I wanted to show the conversation with Lee and Mika in the subway *smile*

So while I'm waiting for the raw of #25 to get done downloading, here be the other caps.

Eps. 21. I would actually add something to this aside from it being a very emotional eps. I just wonder how bad Gary and Richie looked when Grave found them at the end.


Eps. #22. (yes for the most part, the text is copies from my past entry regarding #22 but I did add new pics to some)

Grave's appearance The text in the link pretty much explains itself. Now as to Grave having his clothes blown off, he faced off with some Orcs at the subway station and some purple blob came down from the ceiling and tried to blow Grave up. This was the outcome *thud* This is what Mika and Lee sees when Grave starts walking towards them. The camera zooms from his waist and then pans up to his upper body. *faints*


Showdown on the subway I really liked the posing stance in the first clip.

Facing off with Lee Doesn't the first pic look like one of the facial expressions that comes with the 8' GG doll? (for those that have it aside from me)

Lee questions Now does anyone have a thought as to what Lee was going to say about her eyes? Perhaps a certain look in her eye reminds him of someone? *shrugs*

Lee's transformation Beware, it has spoilers as to what Lee turns into. If you don't want to know or see, then don't click the link or just don't scroll down to the bottom if you do click the link. Also funny how I compare Lee with Alucard since Alucard turns into a spider in Hellsing manga #5. I kinda like Lee's anime version of his form, its easier to comprehend what he is than the game version. You can barely make out just what the hell he was in the game or where his head was located. I think this makes him more creepier.


Lee's end Tis a shame that we are only graced with his hair down right before he croaks.

Ending clips Now it explains Grave's situation regarding #24 when he's starting to break down. The conversation that Dr.T tells him in the first cap. Plus its kinda hard to see but Grave starts to shed tears when he hears Mika crying.

So yeah, I think the anime will be a closure regarding Gungrave as a whole with no GGOD in sight unless something turns around in #26 but I don't see that happening.
