Putting the nose to the grind stone

Sheesh, where did the weekend go? Had to work OT this past weekend and THANK GOD, as much as the bit of extra money does help, we don't have to come in on Sun mornings regarding our days of OT.

Sat. herophelia came over so we could work more on my cosplay props and a new costume for me. After being out and about on Sat. I can see why I HATE HATE HATE going out on the weekends, especially near the mall. While we were sitting at the light, which seemed to have taken about 5 mins for the damn thing to change, I heard this screeching noise and a bang. I looked up in my mirror and the chick behind me got rear ended. I'm just thankful that #1. she wasn't on my ass and #2. had her breaks on, even though I'm sure that wouldn't have helped too much but it managed to help me out. I just like to know how the fuck that happened, the person who hit her, if you can't see that there was a line of completely stopped traffic at the light, then you got some serious problems. Not long after that, the light changed and the whole way to the store I was trying to get my heart to go back into my chest.

So I was able to find what I needed at Academy Sports for my Naruto cosplay of Tsunade's outfit *praises the high heavens for such luck* And many thanx to toranookami for the help on what her outfit was roughly made from. It helped greatly and looks perfect!!! Then we headed to the mall to look for a comfortable push-up bra for my costume and let me say this, this is the LAST TIME I EVER want to pay $34 for a fucking bra!!! I swear they act like this shit is made out of gold and I hate wires with a passion!!! And it's still a bit uncomfortable >__<

Now what we have accomplished so far is..........I'll FINALLY have an Alucard hat for my Alucard costume. *dances a jig* But the only downfall is that I don't think I can wear my black wig now cause it will make it majorly tight on my head with the hat. I don't want to spray my hair black in count of needing my blond hair for Tsunade the next day of the con. *sighs* We also got my Alucard guns set up, we just need to put the coating over the clay, wait for that to dry, and then work on painting the guns along with putting in the lettering. *pumps fist into the air*

I'm quite pleased with my Tsunade outfit and the thing is, this is probably the CHEAPEST costume I ever spent money on and that was just for the top. The only thing that needs completed on that is hand sew the parts where we had to cut the arms out. Plus buy the cloth that wraps around her waist, still not sure what color it is yet. Would it be a dark blue or black???? (and her robe is green)I don't know how to act, this will be my 2nd female costume *lol*.

I uploaded what I had handy at the time of Tsunade from the manga Naruto here. Maybe if I can get this done on time, I might get bubba to take pics of me to see how it looks. The only thing I won't have that matches are the shoes and the robe she wears. I kinda wish I could find a robe so I can wear it around the con if I get cold. The shoes I'm not worried about, I have my own belted sandals that work just fine.


I was going to make a mother's day memory entry on Sunday but after Opie left Sun afternoon, I went to bed and slept most of the later afternoon/evening. So that left me not being able to call mom which is fine, I'm sure she got my card and can always find time to call her later.

Am making progress on finishing up my 3x11 icon request fic, I just hate coming up with endings though *sighs* And for once, I came up with a good title for it too ^^
