This is in regards to the animes I've been watching that also is based on the mangas themselves. Comparing the manga to the anime, its amazing at how much changes when they go to animate something.
Gantz::
Manga: Tons of nudity, at least regarding the female body. Granted I'm pretty sick of the over exaggerated big tits, but having to see the one main chick either nude or partially nude during the breaks of the manga gets on my nerves. I was also quite shocked on them actually showing her bush in the manga as well. Something I DEFINITELY did NOT want to see. Bad enough that one of her tits is nearly half the size of her head. No wonder Gantz nicknames her Titz. I won't even touch the spots where, about the dog's greeting to Titz when he sees her *shudders* That was pretty uncalled for. Aside from that, there's also oodles of gore. If I were in one of those characters shoes, I don't think how I could handle it every single time I got transported back and go on that mission.
Anime: Mmm....they do show Titz's boobs alot whenever she is naked but thank god they don't delve deep as the manga. The gore is not as much either but its there. In some ways, it sucks to see that the anime is only 11 eps long. Considering of what I just finished of vol. 5 of the manga, it would seem that they would try and cram everything in those 11 eps as to what the fuck is going on. If not that, then they will probably cut alot of scenes out that were in the manga, which I'm sure I know the spots since some just seem to be backgrounds of what goes on with the characters lives. I'm also addicted to the OP song, hopefully the download for it will come out.
Even though this series is messed up, I'm already addicted to it. Finishing what I have of the manga tonight just confirmed it. Must have more!!!
The male characters are cute: Kei-chan, Kato, and Hojo (homo) *snickers*. I hope things work out between Titz and Kato (they are pretty cute together) as well as Kato being able to be free by the end. I feel so bad for him and his little bro. The new chick that just came into the pic near the end of vol.5 is almost a spiting image of Laura Croft. The stalker girl who is with Hojo looks like the little girl from The Ring, no shit! Can't complain on how hot the guys above look in those tight black body suits. Also you can't help but laugh at the nicknames that Gantz gives everyone and the insults that go with it. I just wonder if the dog is actually going to have a purpose or not.
Midoi no Hibi::
The series itself of both the anime and manga is pretty silly. Is it me or does Seji look like a toss between Kyo from Fruits Basket and Eikichi Onizuka of GTO. In fact, Seji and Onizuka could pass as brothers when you look at them or perhaps just an older version of Seji.
Manga: Having already watched up to eps.7 and then getting a hold of the manga, there really isn't too much of a difference of that and the anime. The only thing is that they seem to take bits and pieces and mix them in whatever fashion they think would work. Comparing the manga and anime, its funny how parts have jumped around alot in the anime. But I guess if they would actually go in order, the series would probably have alot of eps even though I'm not sure how long the anime is slated for.
I'm torn though on which girl will be right for Seji.
Tenjho Tenge::
Manga: nudity, sex, and some blood but not gore like Gantz. I was quite shocked regarding the sex part with Bob and his girlfriend, though it left a smile on my face. Plus you get to see the more perverted, sicko side of Ryuzake, the creep who's power is fire. Nagi's appearance is different too than the anime, his hair is less poofy though it still sticks up, he looks more geeky in the manga than the anime. Kinda reminds me a bit like Vash in the manga.
Anime: Is pretty tame though the only boob shots I've seen was in the beginning.
Since I'm caught up with manga regarding Gantz, hopefully I can finish reading what I have of Tenjho later Fri night and lust over Bob some more.
Also finally did the 50 icon dealy. After my 2 month coupon expired, I was a bit at a loss at the icons I had to lose. I still haven't filled up the 50 spots yet but you can check out what I have put up so far here.
