......so..... its like, Sept already. *blinks* Wow. I'm still pondering where half the yr went.
Aside from that, short work week for me! I haven't taken vacation since the 1st of June and this will likely be the last I can take time off before Oct and the 4th quarter starts. Which is no biggie to me, I just have more to carry over for next yr when I REALLY will need those extra vacation days. Took Thurs & Fri off as well as having Mon off for the holiday plus its hard to believe that AnimeFest is this weekend too.
Regarding the hotel, Mon. bubba and I were in the area anyways and he suggested about finally going up in the Reunion Tower (that lighted ball tower that is on the front page on Afest) and since the tower is connected to the hotel, we also got to check the surroundings of the hotel since its the 1st yr for it being there. The elevator ride up the tower was neat, especially since your only view is the window facing out towards the city. Then you could check out the top view sights of the city of Dallas the whole way around the Ball, pretty neat!
The hotel itself was pretty stunning to me. Seems to have plenty of con space regarding ballrooms and such. Has a pretty waterfall that starts on the 2nd floor and falls down to the lobby, some restaurants and places to chill were on the 2nd floor as well. Even reading up on the history of the Reunion's (I believe they were French immigrants back in the 1800's) and what the site of that whole area was about. Wasn't able to see what one of the hotel rooms look like since they were low on help at the time. Also I can finally just chill and take my time at home regarding Thurs since the usual group isn't coming, I don't have to worry about having the hotel for that Thurs or have to bust my ass on Wed to have things washed and ready.
I look foward to seeing and hearing some new VA's this yr. at the con.
I found something close enough (of what little I had to choose from) for Kiba's wig for my Wolf's Rain outfit, just needs spiked a bit. I got to try it on before I bought it and this is the first time that a wig felt loose on my head, any other times they are tight. Just hope the wig cooperates on the styling. But I should put on the full outfit so I can see what a dork I look like in the wig first *lol*
WAAAAAAIII!!! I still have to finish sewing the blue ribbon trim I'm putting on my Tsunade top. I'm almost done on the one side but I have the other FULL side to do. My fingertips throb just thinking about it. And yes, hand sewing at that, its whatcha got when you have little time. Its looking at me, staring me down since its sitting on the desk next to me. *sighs* Gotta get it done anyways if I want to wear it.

wardove made a new batch of Tenjou Tenge icons (which she hasn't posted yet) and again, its so hard to choose when you already have 50 filled up and don't know which one to get rid of. So here be one of the pervy Bunshichi scenes I liked when he's chasing Isuzu on his bike, watching her ass as she runs. (of course like its nothing new with me huh? I think Buns has taken up the most space regarding TT icons :p)
