I'm still at my s-i-l's this morning and hopefully when we do the gift thing later in the morning, we can finally head home.
Hmmm....where to start.
Well I worked 7hrs of overtime yesterday *is still ded*, met up with bubba and Vince at the sports bar in town when I got home to eat lunch, went home to get stuff ready to head out to s-i-l's, my Gungrave Overdose Artbook came in the mail *dances giddily*, and once we got on the road, I was out like a light which I still don't know why bubba was trying to talk to me when he knew I was sleeping.
I hate getting short naps in like that, it totally fucks me over. Once we got to his sis's, I laid down for another hour and when it was time to leave for the X-mas party down the road, it took bubba and his 3yr old niece to try and wake me up. I really should've stayed home and here be the reasons::
Of course I was still dead tired so I was being unsociable.
We ate party snacks before the main meal was ready which I didn't eat cause not only was I still not hungry and tired, but Linda made ribs and with my mouth still healing, I didn't want to take the chance of getting food stuck back there. So while everyone was getting ready to eat, I went back and laid on Linda's bed from which I slept till almost 11pm. The sound of the ppl there singing X-mas songs is what woke me up and the kids who were in the same room as me had the vol up pretty loud on the computer as they were playing a game.
I don't know, I just never feel comfortable at Linda's X-mas parties only cause they always sing X-mas songs and such, the kind who make you ill cause some ppl have that thing called X-mas spirit *gags*. Plus this time of year always makes me home sick (even though when I did go home last yr, I was bored off my gourd) so I really don't enjoy myself. Yeah, yeah, I know, Mrs. Bahumbug but oh well. I'm becoming more of a Scrooge as I get older.
So we were at Linda's till almost 1am and that was the longest any of us were up that late at her house. Even my 3yr old niece was still wide awake.
While we were sitting in the car waiting to leave, bubba looked out by the lake and saw THE MOST AWESOME sight!!!!!!!!! The half moon was just SO HUGE and having it reflecting off the water was wonderful.
And when we finally did lay down to sleep, I was knocked the fuck out.

Back to my Gungrave Overdose Artbook.
It is THE SHIZNIT!!!!!!!!! GUHGUHGUH!!!! I swear to god, THEY HAVE TOhavetohavetohaveto make this into an OAV or SOMETHING!!! Aside from Nightow's art and designs, the other art in the book that is drawn by Shino Masanori from the Madhouse studio and I think were the same ones who did the Gungrave anime designs, did their own version of Grave, RB, and Jyuji. Hot!Hot!Hot!! I swear, it would just be so badass to have OD animated and when you see the art, you'll understand why.
What I like about these artbooks for any anime is that you get to see all sorts of different versions of characters they had in mind before they settled onto something they liked. You see this with Grave (it shows you that in the Backyard book), Maria (still like the anime version better than the somewhat icky version from the first game), Sherry (from OD), Grave's other design for OD (which I don't like) and much more.
I just wished that they would start releasing Artbooks in English like they have been doing with manga's but I don't see much of this happening, perhaps they think there isn't a fanbase for this matter? I would LOVE to know what is being said regarding Nightow's thoughts and such on the matter of his creations. Hell, I'd be willing to pay someone to translate these artbooks I have, thats how desperate I am.
I'm going to TRY and take pics of what the GGOD artbook looks like with the colored pics but I can't guarantee you on how it will turn out. I still have to take the omake pic that someone said they would translate for me that came from my Balladbird LeexMika hentai GG doujinshi.

I'm typing this from my s-i-l's compy and they still have dial up. I think I'd kill myself if we had to still mess with this at our house, I didn't realize just how much dial up irritates me. So sorry to those that still have to mess with dial up, I feel your pain.
Cool beaners, Mary has HP: POA on dvd and shall watch that while bubba and Vince are working outside. So far so good on liking it and thats saying alot for someone who isn't a Harry Potter fan.
