This so fucking sucks ass real hard.
Around 3:30 this afternoon, Bubba woke me up in quite a hurry and needed my help in the house. So I'm like half asleep walking towards the living room in my socks when I feel and hear a "squishsquish". Boy if that doesn't wake you up pretty quick.
All we can say is we were lucky that Bubba came back to the house cause he forgot his overnight bag since he was heading out to his sis's to help with his b-i-l's truck.
THIS sprung a leak. Our 250gal. fishtank. Bubba only had water in it so the tank & stand could settle before we were thinking of working to finally set it up. A spot on the back of the tank (facing towards that divider) from where the caulk was, probably went bad cause when Bubba saw where it was coming from, he said it looked like a small fountain shooting up in the air. At least 75gals was wasted on part of the living room carpet and part of the carpet where the tank sat. Bubba did some quick thinking on how to drain the rest of the water out of the tank, especially when your on limited time.
Once that was done he went to Walmart to rent a Rug Doc. Granted we do have a wet/dry vac but that would've taken forever. So now we're debating about what to do regarding the tank. Let it dry out, reseal it, and then fill water in it again though NOT in the house (garage maybe) and see how it takes or just think about giving it up. (who's to say it wouldn't happen again?)
