Thank god we'll have everything out of the old house tomorrow. I'm so sick and tired of going back and forth all week when I get home from work and in the morning after I wake up. And then starting next week will be spent on trying to get the new house in some sort of order. Every morning once the alarm went off at 7:30, I'd get up and re-set the time to sleep in more since it would usually be 1:30am or so when I get back to the new house. Even now I'm so sleepy but after I get off work tonight, I'll be heading to the old house to break up some boxes to fit in the garbage can and check my email one more time while I still have it.
Our bed right now, I feel like The Princess & The Pea minus the pea part. We have two box-springs and two mattresses piled up to sleep on and it feels kinda weird. Poor kitty has a hard time trying to get up on the bed since we don't have room right now for his ramp. But we did train him last night to use bubba's night stand to jump up on in order to get up on the bed. Since he doesn't have his front claws, it's a bit hard for him to jump that high and actually make it w/out sliding off. Bubba is thinking about putting the bed back together the way it should be and just find a place for the spare bed/box-spring.
And speaking of the fucking BRAT (the cat)!! The morning when I brought him home, he stayed under that damn blanket all day and most of the night. He was soooo buggy while we were trying to sleep and then the next morning I wake up and he's under the blanket draped over my ankles. He spent just about all day yesterday hiding in the blanket but today he was actually out and about a little more. Still buggy when I either get home from work or wake up cause he's always meowing about something. Never did it at the other house.
I spent most of last night after work vacuuming the old house and boy, if that wasn't a chore and a half. I was so tired that I left the front of the house alone till this morning. Didn't realize how big the rooms are till they are empty and damn, there sure is alot of dust build up when you don't move furniture around. But then again, for some reason, the old house accumulates dust pretty damn quick. I noticed it when I was taking the posters down in my room and the outer part of the poster had a good bit of dust on them. I never had that problem back home when I had posters on my wall but then again, the dirt there was on the back of the posters, not the front. Plus after cleaning my computer stand off, the amount of dust on top of my monitor and around my stand was mind boggling and I normally try to keep up on dusting things off.
I sent out the x-mas cards yesterday and considering what little time I had, I was unable to send everyone cards like I normally do, same goes with gifts. Maybe next yr will be better, don't know. But then again, we will probably be going through the same shit we are right now. Speaking of cards, I totally dig the cards I received
babaca and
lemonyloyce. It's the littlest things that make me go "oooooh".
We won't have the internet at the other place till sometime Monday. So if anyone sends me something this weekend and you don't hear back from me, you know why. I might try and go back to the old house sometime Sun. night and check my email on the laptop. We have to go with cable internet this time since our area doesn't have DSL. >___< So they are coming out Mon. morning to get that setup.
