Tenjou Tenge manga news, pics, and GIP!

Thanx for the news from toranookami about who picked up the license for the manga. DC Comics! O___________O I didn't think that they did manga. I can only hope too that they do a decent job or I'll be severly pissed. Though I'm wondering why they picked it up. The only thing I can think of is perhaps the sex stuff that is in it and the nudity? I know its not cause of the blood and the weirdness cause the known manga peeps have picked up titles that have those two factors in it.

wickedchild_md also wanted to know what Tenjou Tenge meant and I found out that it means Heaven and Earth.

Though what I read, I highly disagree about what they had to say about Chiaki, Bob's girlfriend. Sure she isn't a main character BUT she has an impact on Bob's life, she is what he lives for. Here is what part of the article said:

Bob's girlfriend seems to only exist in the manga so Bob and her intimate plays can be of "fan-service."

Hey, there is nothing wrong on letting us have she and Bob screwing like rabbits but as I said, she still is an important character regardless if she shows up that much in the manga.

I was catching up on vol. 10 and 11 last night (might get a bit of #12 in before I leave work) and I came across some nice pics. This manga has some really good art in the beginning pages before the manga gets into the story for each volume.

The first pic came from vol. 10 and I think it makes a nice wallpaper too. Bob sure likes to use that middle finger alot *lol*

I didn't feel like going back a few vol's just to get a good pic of his mom but if someone wants to see her, let me know and I'll find something to post. I was actually surprised that Nagi took on his mother's last name and not his father's.

I'll put a few thoughts behind the cut so as to not give out any spoilers for those that don't want to know.



After reading the article about what TT was about and the characters and such, kinda made me understand Shin's infatuation over his sister Maya. It seemed that when they were little and he was going through his demon fazes, she was there for him, understood him, and still loved him as her brother. Though I think he took his affection a bit too deep. Which I have no problem with, its just a bit odd though with his actions towards her, she seems oblivious about it.

In vol. 11, I can't help but feel so bad for Nagi's mom. Though I don't understand how, if Nagi's dad cut off her one arm, how did she get it back? And now with her situation, will she be like that forever now or will she gain her arms back?

And I was quite shocked to see Nagi's dad show up and kidnap him. I can't wait to see what his dad is all about and what he plans to do with Nagi.

I got a kick out of Bob's training gear at the end of #11. The tire he dragged behind him was so silly, the block was made to look a bit like Maya *lol*

The sneak peek that Masataka and Bunshichi got of a naked Aya was priceless, especially Bunshichi's comment about her tits. And yes, I do find it hard to believe that she's only 15 O___O

DC Comics? Are you serious? Um, okay I'll try to deal with that.

I too read that review and didn't like his/her interpretation of Chiaki. She's not my favorite but even I think she has an important role in keeping Bob down to earth and maybe even Nagi at times. And what is so wrong with fanservice? Maya and Aya are both walking fanservice barbie dolls (but I love you ladies both!). Especially in one fight scene in eps 10. O_o No wonder the guys were cheering.

Nagi is damn hot with blond hair let alone black. Talk about a *thud* moment. ^__^ Though Demon Nagi is a bit disturbing he's not too horrible to look at but that doesn't mean I want to be in close contact with him or anything. O_O As for Nagi's dad.... *pets obscenely*

Won't comment yet about the manga schtuff just yet. Still need to read the scans. OH! But I did get a few Bunshichi pic earlier today that I want to make icons for you since he's your favorite character. ^___^ Although I am really waiting to get more pic's of Asshat just so I can make something with that on it. "Asshat." Too funny.

I've already drooled over the Bob icon but no harm in doing it again. *drool* See? Nothing wrong with it at all. ~_^

The horors...

From what I gathered from the guys who scanlate the manga- they will finish the chapter they are on, then translate the special only because they don't think DC will do it and then drop all the downloads except a few just to have something to compare to the DC team's version. I also heard that if the DC is sooo~oo bad, they will put everything back on with block download and go back to translating.
Some of DC's comics are gory and pretty heavy on the sexual situations, so who knows where that goes.

I'm still pissed that Akuma de Souru was picked up by them...grr

After looking everywhere for my discs, I came to realize I let a friend borrow them during AKon. Though Dove told me that on Gotwoot's site, they have 1-9 eps in a batch download if you want to try it there. I can still send the manga out with the book though.
