Throbbing eyeballs and a slight headache I think its trying to tell me to quit reading so much from the compy. I haven't been this busy on a Thurs. night in a long time. I couldn't write anything since I can't concentrate while I'm constantly getting up from my seat every 5 mins or so.
Last time my poor(yet very good) eyes went through this I believe was when I was trying to stuff all of what Tora sent me on disc with the Naruto manga late last yr.
So since I really couldn't watch anime or write, I went back and caught up more on re-reading Tenjou Tenge. Now that I'm slowly reading it and taking everything in, some things are starting to make a bit more sense. Not alot, but some. Its funny, at least to me on how I do things, is that when reading manga like this, it seems that I see the words and pics but don't take everything in. The 2nd time or so is when everything starts to piece together.
Comparing parts from the anime and manga is kinda funny. I just wonder how they determine what parts they will animate and what dialouge they will keep. Seeing as to what has been animated so far and the whole splooge that went on in the manga that isn't animated, thats alot of skipping over. Granted that most of that really isn't too important but its still a chunk that they don't use. This is one series I still don't see how they can sum it up in 26 eps. but hey, I guess they know more of what is going to happen than what we do who are caught up with what is out there with the manga. I know this will be one series I'll be buying both dvd and manga.
Just a few things though that was running in my head after reading certain parts. These aren't in any order. And as always, spoilers inside.
If Maya was the chosen one to look after the sword, WHY does Shin have possession of it? And from what I recall, I don't think it even said why he has it in the first place. So if anything, things that had happened to Shin should be put on Maya's shoulders. Then again, perhaps thats why she feels the way she does now on settling things.
Maya told Shin that she wanted to become stronger since she doesn't have any special powers but yet she went and killed those members of the Katana team. Course I'm sure those that she did kill weren't all that strong either so they weren't really a match for her.
In the early days, Bunshichi told Mitsuomi on the word that was going around. One being Maya killing those guys. And two being that Mana was spreading it around about how she and Mitsuomi have been meeting up alot. Then it shows Shin on his bike with the sword on his back and his powers were that strong that he could hear all different ppl's conversations/thoughts. SO that would mean that he knew what Maya was doing AND would know that Mitsuomi was seeing Mana behind his back, yet as far as I can recall, he never brought it up to them about it.
In some ways I'm slightly, not quite but slightly understanding of why Mitsuomi started to think differently of Shin. He tells Maya that the only thing in her heart was the shadow of her overly great brother and it was at that moment when he wanted to kill Shin. I do pity Mitsuomi when it came to his feelings for Maya, I mean who wouldn't be jealous of wanting the person who you think you want to love only to be blocked out. Though it still bugs me on if MxM were an actual couple or what??!!! Cause I don't think I came across them saying they were going out or not. Unless that might get covered later in a conversation.
I don't know why I also thought that Nagi's mom still had both arms. I guess I didn't take heed to it till what happened to her when she went to help stop Nagi's demon form. When she came back from her mission early and offered to cook Nagi breakfast is when I realized she was missing her arm. That poor woman, she seems like a caring mother/woman, along with the fact that Nagi actually CARES about his mother, is kinda rare to see in anime. I just wonder how much more she can take before she dies.
Fri night is when I'll be starting the chapters when Mits and Bunshi watch the vid that Mana gave him and I think even that I will be understanding more of what side of Shin they will truly see.
UGH! I got so much to do around the house this morning and after I wake up. Going to be a busy holiday weekend and bubba's family might be stopping over early too.
