[fic] Commiseration 1/? (too many really)
Just as I said I would do and post an ongoing fic that is a WK/GW crossover comedy. It all started out with an odd conversation on the Lovereflection ML that I belong too and from there, it went crazy (then again, we are a bunch of crazy, odd fangirls). It had to do about the locked up bishies we have stored in the BBC (tis a secret unless you are on the list ^_~) Anyone can partake in help writing this fic but so far Black Rose and Ancient Lady have done the most work to it. Right now I think its only up to 12 parts and it now falls back to AL to do her part (which god knows when that will happen). I just hope that sometime in the near future they will finish this fic cause its just too damn good to let it go.
It all started with this::
Ken: Dammit! It's not fair! I want to renegotiate my contract - all I got was a girlfriend who was addicted to water and left me for Australia. That guy **points at Heero** is just as tainted as we are, and HE gets a princess.
Ran: Yeah, well, did you see her brother?
Zechs: **crosses arms and glares daggers at Heero** Touch her and die, Yuy.
Ken: Yeah, he's got as much chance as a guy after *your* sister, Ran.
Ran: **crosses arms and glares** Touch her and die, Ken.
Welpers, this inspired a little fic.
Here are some notes: The pairings are Heero/Relena and Ken/Aya-chan, complicated by two
overprotective older brothers ^_^
Note: The BBC - in this case - is the Bishounen Broom Closet, wherein we store our muses, and take them out from time to time for round robins.
Commiseration (by Ancient Lady)
Heero Yuy and Ken Hidaka were sitting at an out of the way table in the BBC bar, drowning their sorrows.
"It's just not fair," Heero said, swirling the liquor in his glass before draining it in a gulp that made Ken wince.
Sipping more conservatively at his own drink, Ken said, "What's so unfair about it? She adores you. It's obvious to anyone with eyes. Shit, you had the chance to kiss her and didn't. That's your own fault."
"That's not it." Heero glared at him. Ken,though, had known Ran for several years, and a glare just didn't cut it with him. Heero gave up on intimidation, and explained himself, since it was unlikely he'd get away with a statement like that without having the reasons behind it plumbed. "It's her brother. How am I supposed to woo Relena with
Zechs there in the background, trying to block me at every turn.
"I'm not the most demonstrative of people; it's the japanese in me, I guess. Telling Relena how I feel is difficult enough without Zechs so *helpfully* interrupting every two and a half minutes."
If Heero had been looking for pity - unlikely, but still - he would not have found it in Ken Hidaka. Ken was leaning his chair back against the wall, and laughing.
"I don't know what you find funny about that."
"You've got it easy, man, you know that? At least you've got a chance. I'm not sure Aya-chan even knows I exist. And if he gets his way, Ran will make sure that she never does.
"I swear, there are times when he's cleaning and sharpening his sword, that he's imagining having it against my throat. I know he does. And you should see the glare I get if I so much as bring her a cup of tea. At this rate, it'll be years before we have a decent conversation, much less a date."
Heero nodded, and there was a thoughtful look in his eyes as he replied. "I know exactly what you mean. Lately, Zechs has taken to keeping the rapier that came with his OZ uniform in tip top shape, and he usually does it when I come to visit Relena. If it weren't for the fact that it would harm her image, I would just sneak in to see her at
night."
"There's a thought," Ken said. "I have to admit, sneaking into Aya-chan's room to talk to her when old 'touch my sister and die' isn't around is tempting. Unfortunately, her room is right next door to his, and I wouldn't put booby traps past him. I asked Omi if Ran had consulted him about surveillance equipment and he refused to answer me. That was answer enough."
"I could do a sweep for you..."
"I appreciate it Heero, really I do, but I don't think Aya-chan would like for me to show up in her bedroom unannounced. I just wish there was some way to get Ran away from her long enough to even find out if I've got a chance in hell of attracting her attention.
"I mean, I'd even brave Ran if I thought she was inclined to like me, but I don't like looking like a fool. If I did confront Ran about it only to find out that Aya-chan thought of me as a friend or a brother, I think I'd kill myself from embarrassment."
"I could take Zechs in a fair fight," Heero mused, "I know I could. Especially considering the prize. But if I hurt her dear brother in any way, Relena would be *pissed* and I'd be right back at square one.
"I know how you feel about wanting just a few minutes to clear the air. If I could just get Zechs gone for, say, an hour, there's no telling what I could accomplish."
"Do I have a dirty mind, or is that a smirk on your face? You wouldn't...."
"Have you *seen* Relena in a swimsuit? Don't tell me I wouldn't. I would in a heartbeat - if I only had the opportunity. Don't tell me you wouldn't if you had the chance."
Ken flushed crimson. "Er... I mean.. It's not like Aya-chan and I have dated or anything... She wouldn't... not that quick... She's not like that," he finished, his fingers clenching white around his glass in frustration.
"But you would if she would?"
Ken choked out a laugh. "Hell, yeah. But the chances of that are somewhere between zero and minus ten."
"Pretty girls and their overprotective brothers... Life is cruel. Another round, Ken?"
"Yeah, I'll buy this one. It's not like I have a *girlfriend* to spend my money on."
I shall post part 2 either later today or tonight. Hope ya's enjoy it.
