Long weekend

Had another long weekend this past week. It wouldn't have been so bad if I was able to get some sleep on Sat but that was not the case. In fact, bubba hardly had any sleep cause of a structure fire late Fri night, Opie only had about 3hrs sleep late Fri night, and I had none cause of just getting off work Sat morning and we were leaving before noon. It was cool to have [livejournal.com profile] herophelia over this past weekend and thanx again chickie for being a polite/helpful houseguest at Linda's party.

It was hot and humid on Sat at the lake though no sun since it was cloudy, course later a storm rolled in right before we were ready to eat and already started to put the table and food up under the porch, THEN it stopped raining >___<. Before that, Vince wanted to take Opie and I out tubing so it was fun watching others do it, though its been awhile for me and boy did I pay for it. Sore body all over, though I didn't flip so that was good.

Later after we ate and I changed back into my normal clothes, I laid down on Linda's bed and was knocked the fuck out; in fact both Opie and I zonked out. Since bubba didn't make up his mind BEFORE we left the house if were were spending the night at his sis's, we weren't prepared to bring extra things but no biggie, we left Sun morning anyways. Though I pissed myself off cause I forgot to set my vcr to tape Sat nights Adult Swim. PLUS since I didn't know what we were doing, I didn't give the cats any extra food so when we got home, their bowls were near empty aside from a few crumbs.

I'm not sure if Sam was pissed at me cause of that or cause of Opie being around but he was bring a brat and would hide from me or try to back away when I tried to coax him out from under the stereo cabinet. I guess he thought I was up to no good too when I do that. (aka bath time). Smokey had no problem nor didn't have an attitude and its not like Sam didn't know Opie was around since he saw her and was around her on Sat morning.

So of course when I took Opie home later Sun, bubba told me that Sam came out from hiding not too long after. He was still kinda being snobby to me when I got home but he got over it. SORRY for being away for a day! It's not like you're going to starve if you don't eat for half a day (he's got enough fat to live off for quite a few weeks). I'm really going to dread it next yr when we go on our cruise for a week and then later in the yr when we go to PA for a week. He's going to be PISSED, though I wish we could take them with us.

Later Sun evening bubba got the hot tub ready which felt good for my sore body before it started to put me to sleep. Sorry to those that I abandoned on chat after I came back from the hot tub. It made me more sleepy so I took a nap, nearly slept through the normal shows I watch on Sun night's AS *>__<*, though I'm not missing much till 11pm. I also had to record Dave Atell's (sp?)"Insomniac" on Comedy Central since he was doing it from Tokyo, I can't wait to watch it and see all the stuff he got to see and poke fun at. I'm sure he had a blast.

Ending note, I got some commished art to post in the morning for those that have been waiting for it ^_____________________^

I'm going to try desperately to send off the jackets today. Still cannot get the necklace to work- broke the large green bead after I finished cutting it...I'm a klutz. Also, on the jacket, it was my first time on the embroidery machine; so I beg you don't hold it against me that there is one little mistake and it is puffy. ^_^;;;
Overall, I think it went very well- though Richard who is watching the anime didn't tell me till last night that the manga and anime coat are different- the anime has a black trim when the manga didn't. *grinds teeth* I would do it if I had time- got commissioned to do children halloween costumes (one wants matching puppy for her newborn and 5 year old and the other for the five year old)...When did people find out I can sew some? *laughs*

*lol* How freaky, I was just going to contact you and make sure everything was okay. *shakes fist at manga* I know what ya mean. My friend who I mentioned in this entry, when we were figuring out T's outfit before Akon, and right before T made her slight apparence on Naruto, she thought that the trim on her top was a shadow. Well, later, the T's I saw cosplaying, had that trim on their shirt so I had a feeling it was a trim and not a shadow. So yesterday I bought wide dark blue ribbon and am going to bust my butt on sewing it on this week and during the weekend.

What part did you have to embroid? Her symbol? As for her trim on the coat, you didn't put one on or you did but it was a different color? If you didn't put the trim on, I'm sure I can see about maybe getting one put on before the con, if not, no biggie for now. Hey, I can't complain, I'm just happy that you were able to do this for me. Can't look a gift horse in the mouth. If I was able to go to cons next yr (which I'm pretty sure I can't cause of our plans are already booked), I would still like to go as Riza from FMA. The miniskirt version since I wouldn't have to worry about the pants.

I saw this costume book on the table at Walmart yesterday for sale that had Halloween costumes and there was this one where a baby was dressed as a mouse and it was sooooooooo fucking cute!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wish I knew someone who had a baby (or one that was a couple months old) that could wear it. The cover of that book had a guy who looked like Jack Sparrow and then a chick and a kid who had different pirate gear on.

Just let me know how much I owe you and what form of payment.

Thanx again chickie!!

M'kay- the coat came to 18.15 and the shipping was $9.30 and you pay half which is $4.65.

Your total is $22.80. If you want to, my paypal is tora_okami@hotmail.com But if you want to to send a check will be fine too.

It should arrive tomorrow, the 2 day shipping was only 2.50 more then the 7 day...thought the 2 day was a better deal.
The part embroid was the red circle, I painted the symbol after making a stencil- so it is 99% perfect. I wanted to hand trim it, but that would of taken forever. I'm a cross stich fool. :P
I love making kids clothing...it is so easy to do- adult clothing gets me stuck everytime. Need sometime to get some red fabric and re-do Sakura since I found a dress pattern that is almost like it. >_<;;; I frustrate myself so easy. The other one fell apart- and got left with all my costumes except the most showy at Otacon. One of these years we are going to fly to a western con...east cons suck to me.

Ishkabible!!!!!!! GAH!

I got the box today. WOWIES! That is really good, fits well on me too, just gotta secure my white top better, put the blue wrap around, and then try everything on to see how neat it all looks together. If I can do that or hopefully I can sew my blue ribbon on the front of the top before the end of the weekend, I can get hubby to take a pic of me in it this weekend. Nice job on the symbol, I didn't even notice any mistakes. I'm not even worried about the trim either unless it bugs me later and then put it on but now isn't no biggie.

Kiba's coat actually fits good on me too, not overly big, just a tad regarding the sleeves (can't push them up cause they won't stay up *lol*), I hope I can find a brown wig at the one costume shop before the con and I'll be all set.

I'll see if hubby wants to pay through paypal or send you a check. I'm hoping the moron will do it without too much complaint (he knew you were doing this for me too) and say that its coming out of my con money. He shouldn't be too much of a whiny bitch about it.

I never been to Otakon yet, one of these yr's I'd like to experience it once. I think I'm giving up on Akon until they get their shit straight. Afest so far, I've always liked, to me its still a small con but its slowly building up regarding ppl coming to it. I would like to plan for AX in '06, hubby should go with me regarding the con scene and still use that time as vacation and go sight seeing. You guys should plan that too since we got 2 yrs to wait for it and all go together. Course alot of things can happen in those 2yrs but it doesn't hurt to think about it ahead of time ^_~

Regardless of which way I pay you, I'll still inform ya on when the money is being sent.

Thanx so much again, I really really appreciate this!!! *tackleglomps*

I nearly got into trouble last year for this wig...but it is almost perfect: http://www.buycostumes.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=345&PCatID=&ccatid= *snicker* Richard would rather fuss up his hair then to admit to a Rocky Horror Picture show wig.

Glad everything works well...you cannot believe how relived I am. I think the elastic in the Kiba jacket is either dead or almost dead...should of fixed it, but I forgot since it had been in storage for a year. Also frebreezed it, don't know if it works.

Otakon wasn't worth going to. I think the best line that summed it up, 14 year old girls at the Funmation table: "OMG! Why do they have a Kuwabara (YU YU Hakusho) poster! Ick! I wish he would like die!" The confusion on like 30 people who was taking pictures of it was priceless. I'm almost to the point of actually hating cons...it might be two years before Richard can drag me to another one- he has been coning since the beginning and don't want to give up hope.

Thanks and I'm really glad you like everything. *glomps back and squees!*
