*lurve for OSTs* and a mood theme question

Since I was digging around in our cd boxes a few weeks ago, I came across my Hellsing OSTs since I had them thrown in with the rest of the music cds and not in my stuff. I was listening to both of them the other day and realized just how much I love Raid and Ruins. I don't know if its cause that kind of off the wall, freaky music is my thing or what. But I never get tired of hearing it either. I don't normally fall in love with many anime OST's but I do have a few favs.:

Both Hellsing "Raid" and "Ruins" (I should print me out a copy of what the titles for the songs are)

All 3 Gungrave OSTs

All the Escaflowne OSTs (which I can't thank [livejournal.com profile] penybright enough for making copies at the time)

and some of the Weiss Kreuz music

I'm sure the BECK OST will be awesome once they finally release one. And I'm still curious to hear how the Trigun OST sounds. Since it seems to be the same dude that composed the Gungrave OSTs, I bet its just as good. Anyone on my flist who might have Trigun's and would be kind enough to try and burn me a copy? I don't want to buy something if I don't like what I hear.

I mean I like the others I have:

Both Witch Hunter Robin's
All the GW cds
Both Naruto's
Both Wolf's Rain

But these don't overly excite me as much as those listed above.

I finally got off my butt and quit procrastinating on setting up a custom mood theme. The directions weren't hard at all, unless your the kind that actually knows what the hell your doing and can write it up to show others just how easy it is. I wish I could understand it though as to how you can customize the rest of your lj layout. Seems like jibberish to me and afraid if I fuck something up, I can't go back to the way it was. (meaning fixing it on my own).

So thanx [livejournal.com profile] psychodragon82 for making the cool Trigun theme's. I see that there are a good bit of Wolfwood pics *yummm!* Makes me happy.

After looking at the pics some more, really has me wanting to do a Gungrave mood theme. I can pick out some of the good facial expressions and what not, it shouldn't be overly hard to decide on what for what. Plus that gives me a good excuse to watch the series again. ^__^

So my question to those that know how to make mood theme pics, what size do you normally shrink the pics down to? I seen some that are HUGE and some that are small, but I like the sizes that I see for the Trigun and the Fruits Basket ones. I'd also like to see or I wonder if someone has made any Hellsing mood themes, doesn't matter if its the manga and anime together.

You have Hellsing OST's? I worship the carpet you step on. =P

Of your list...

The first Trigun OST rocks and the 2nd one sucks (I barely listen to it). First Wolf's Rain ... excellent. The second one? I only like a few of the songs. Both the first and second Naruto cds are great. The third one which I downloaded some time ago is the opening and closing theme songs of the first four or five seasons.

Could you make me a copy of both OST's? I'm really curious to see how they sound and if the Gungrave OST's are better than the Trigun. Let me know if you can and if you need my mailing addy again.

I was given the 1st Naruto OST as a gift for X-mas last yr, I'm hoping to get the 2nd one as well (even though I have the burnt copy, if an OST is worth listening to, I'll buy it).

If you get gungrave mood pics....if i can use them and want to....i may. :)

Without a doubt! They'll be up for grabs who ever wants to use them. Hopefully I can start on collecting stuff starting next week. I'm going to try to space everything out for a variety, though there's going to be so much to choose from.

By the way, if you like the music from Gungrave and Trigun, the same composer also did the music for the anime "Hajime no Ippo", which I think is being marketed as "Fighting Spirit" in English? He also wrote a few tracks for the "Texhnolzye" soundtrack.

I bet the music for Texh would be pretty neat. I really liked the music they played for the preview on the 1st GG dvd but I know that isn't on the Texh OST cause they used an american band for the preview music.

It's quite eclectic, that's for sure. Mainly b/c they don't have just one composer. They must have about 5 or so in total, all organized by one main guy.

BTW -- that preview is actually the OP for the show. The song is indeed by an American band (Juno Reactor) but it IS on the OST. (I'd cry if it wasn't ^_~ It's the reason why I bought it.) The catch is that you can only get the "short version" on the Japanese version of the OST. The US version has the song in full though ^_^

Thats so awesome that that song is the OP for the show. *kekekekeke* I knew it was Juno Reactor cause they did a song on the 1st Mortal Kombat movie and I have the soundtrack for it. Thats cool that the US version has the full song. It sounds like it would be a good OST.
