Hope everyone had a nice holiday whether you spent it with your family or just yourself. Christmas this year was slim pickings for us since for some reason, this year was really tight for us and to get anything for family but what little I did get, I totally dig it.

2004 Budweiser holiday stein. (had a feeling mom would get it for me since I did forget to tell her NOT to get me them anymore but this yr’s stein was awesome. Plus bubba told me to not get rid of them so I have to keep them ^_~)

The neighbor lady left a message while we were gone saying that she made us some tamales as a gift. Bubba doesn't like them which only leaves more for me ^_~

Just a lot of cool shit or stuff that is yet to come. Can’t thank everyone enough.

On X-mas Eve, we had a family dinner and gift giving to those who weren't going to be around on X-mas. Being around the little ones that night, again, fuels me into NOT wanting kids EVER! Doesn't matter if they are realtion to me or not, being around kids like that is enough to make me go nuts.
X-mas was alright, I think what made it more comical was my 3yr old niece opening her gifts, especially since she's into dress up stuff. Our two gifts to here were a package of dress up shoes and a fuzzy box that had play jewelry in it. She couldn't wait to have dug into that right away.
Dinner was really good, especially when you get good ham, can't stop eating it. We were going to LEAVE later that day but bubba kept making excuses about not doing so. I just wanted to go home, I get a bit antsy if I'm away for too long and just want to chill out at my own place and on top of that, I got tired of freezing my ass off both nights we stayed since Mary and Vince keep their heat very low.
Being around bubba's family, a person can only hack so much. His dad can not make conversation without bad mouthing ppl or in this case, bubba's nephew that is living with my father-in-law. He would do this during dinner and bubba had to keep telling him to knock it off. (especially when Mary had company over that weren't family related). X-mas night while Vince, bubba, and I were watching movies, you could hear Mary and my bad niece Heather (mother and daughter) yelling at each other up stairs. And like bubba and Vince said, out of all days and they have to be fighting now?
Fuck, even my family isn't that bad, its probably why I'm thankful that my close knit family only consists of mom and my two older sisters. Less we have to pick fights about. (though me and my middle sis can ALWAYS find something to fight about ^_~).
Never got to talk to anyone from my family on either Eve or X-mas and I did email my sis to inform her where we would be if mom wanted to call. No biggie I guess.
After we finally left Mary's Sunday morning, we stopped by where we use to live to visit some friends and then went home. Couldn't have been any happier when I stepped foot in the door, though I felt bad for the cats since they ate all their food (aside from me giving them a little extra before we left).
Perhaps its cause I'm getting older, half of my relatives are dead, and I'm no longer home but I just don't enjoy X-mas anymore. And I doubt that I'll ever get that feeling back like I use to, those are the memories I cherish the most. And the majority of my memories are when I was little.

Cause of us putting it off for so long, bubba and I were busting our asses yesterday on cleaning the house, between doing loads of laundry, finally cleaning my room and compy stand better, vacuuming half the house, cleaning part of the kitchen, working on putting everything on my compy to disc since bubba wants to reformat all 3 compy's in the house (>___<), and him starting to set up the 250 gal fish tank. We had enough to keep us busy and then some since we're not even halfway done. *headdesk*
The only bright side to it all is that I'm just a few more paragraphs from finishing my gift fic. Sad that I feel as if I can concentrate more when I'm at work than when I'm at home cause this sucker would've been done a long time ago. Though I'm anxious to get started on some New Yr's smut.
