FMA manga ch. 48 and Vacation Time! or perhaps otherwise known as the Love Boat

*snerks*

The recent chapter to FMA manga #48 was a really awesome chapter. Read the trans that ocean posted and it made me love this chapter even more. (EdxWinry awww!) Sexy Riza and Roy in normal clothes. I so called the shots in regards to Lan Fan (cause really, why wouldn't she want one?) Mei-chan kills me with the way she is around Scar *lol* Leave it to Al to pick up the little panda but serves Ed right for being a dork *hehehehe* I also want to just snuggle Jan to death, I'm glad we got to see a little of him and his goals to go on. *sniffs*

~*~*~*~

Otay, now to the vacation stuff.

The time has FINALLY come to talk about our trip starting on this coming Sunday. We've been planning this for almost a year and the stress that came with it in its earlier stages was stifling. What really saved us was my bonus & raise and what we got back from our tax return.

A group of us are going on a 7 day cruise around the Mexican shores: Belize, Cozumel, & Yucatan. This kind of trip is our first and hopefully if its what its worth, maybe go on another just the two of us much later in the future.

Course the time frame that we are doing this costs more (spring/summer prices) hence why we were trying to figure out expenses even though we had roughly a yr's time to save up money. I think that if we do happen to do this on our own next time we'll pick a cheaper time frame to do it in (fall, winter, or early spring).

Bubba wanted to do some excursions while we were at these places so we picked one for each stop.

Excursions (these are in order as to the places we stop at):

Yucatan - I wanted to go on this but the first thing bubba said was "thats alot of stairs to climb." I on the other hand would think it would be so neat to see those ruins. And like I told him, that would be my Egypt to me since I'll never get the chance to go there. He's like "how do you know?" Not in my lifetime. Besides, as much as I would LOVE to experience Egypt for myself, I just don't trust setting foot in any country near the middle east. I'll just have to live my dreams through bubba's pics he took when he was over there.

So since he didn't want to do that, we decided on this.

Cozumel - This.

Belize - This.

Seems like we'll be water logged throughout most of the trip *lol*

I'm anxious, nervous, yet excited to be able to experience this. Quite a few ppl I've talked to recently have gone on cruises before and had so much fun. They have things going on the boat 24hrs a day, a variety of foods (SUSHI!) and just STUFF! :P (I wanna try the slot machines) My ass will be dragging from those excursions and whatever else we find to do on the boat, I should take some No Doze with me. I just don't want to feel overly tired that I won't enjoy myself. We have two formal dinners we have to sit in on hence why I had to break down and find something nice/skirtish to wear. I know the formal dinner get up killed bubba and his bro-in-law since those guys nearly LIVE in tank tops and shorts. We were looking at the pics as to what the cabins look like and no matter what level your on the boat, they all look very accommodating.

We're driving down to Galveston early Sat morning (it'll only take about 3-4 hrs), then supposedly we are to go see SW III later that evening, and come Sunday afternoon we head to Port and board the boat. We come back on Sun of the 19th and will head home sometime after. I still took the 20th off from work so it gives me a little time to just rest. Like OMG! I won't know how to act not being around the internet *laughs* I think that will be the farthest thing on my mind while away. I know I won't hear the end of it while on the trip between bubba and his b-i-l bugging me about "awww, I bet this is killing you not being around your computer." Nope, not one bit. (I'm sure they won't believe me either) BUT we are taking the laptop so bubba can download the pics from the digital camera to it, will save us time and money regarding more memory cards.

This trip will be like a honeymoon for us since we never went on one after we got married. My honeymoon to myself (no choice in the matter actually) after a month of being married was a 3 month rotation to Kuwait. Had the sun, sand, and 135 degree heat, what fun! >__< And ya wanna talk about gross, we were allowed to head to certain places for some R&R, and the one area where the big open pool was at, the Persian Gulf was right by it. We could actually walk down to the "beach" but when you look towards the Gulf, it was a very sad sight. Still quite an aftermath since the Gulf War, some places still had some blackness to it from the oil that was spilt and what have you.

Wish us luck when it comes to the weather. They were talking on the news last night about some sort of storm that could turn into a tropical storm that is coming up from the south, looked like it was going over Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Where we're going to is to the west of those places but still close enough. Here is a recent article about it.

I'll be thinking of you guys and how I wish I could stow you all away in my luggage, though for a small fee of course :p 'Cept I'll be missing my kiddlings alot more. (wants to take kitties along :(

Have one more night at work and will be here at the house till late Fri night (have to go to bed early that night since he wants to head down to Galveston at 4 in the morning -____- )

Going to miss you, so in payment, you're required to have a great time, okay? No expections, no complaints, pure hardworking and insane chaos. ;D

Have lotsa fun! And drink tons of water and stuff. Really hot and humid this time of year, down there.

Yeah no doubt about it regarding stocking up on the water. I just in some inkling of hope, that it isn't overly humid yet. But since it seems we'll be around water nearly the whole time on this trip, I'll try to keep myself cool some way.

Have lotsa fun!

Thanx! I hope it will be.

Thanx a bunch! You'd be one of the peeps I wish I could fit into my luggage, sounds like you need it.

Have a great time and enjoy the food and relaxation :)

Yeah really. I might never want to come back *laughs*

Dude, you have to go to Chichen Itza :) My family went there several years ago for spring break (Cancun, really), and oh my god, it was so much fun :) There's a lot of other ruins other than the giant pyramid (like sacrifcing platforms with skull carvings) and it's just a beautiful place to see, if you get the chance. The pyramid was fun to climb (they have a rope to hang on to for help) and the view is breathtaking. The only weird bit is the coming back down, and I took it really slow :) And take lots of bottled water :)

I'm glad the package got to you before you left. Having never shipped on before, I was sort of worried as to how long it would take.

Have lots of fun, and take pictures :)

Awwww man, that does sound awesome. I wished I would've persuaded hubby about it but I guess the 7hr dealy-o turned him off from doing it.

I was wondering if they had ways of helping ppl climp up those stairs. I can imagine what it was like on the way back down.

Having never shipped one before, I was sort of worried as to how long it would take.

*laughs* Yeah, thats understandable. I get that way when I send packages overseas. 2-3 yrs ago, I sent an anime package to a friend in Italy and to this day, she never got it (another friend had sent her a package too and she never got it either). I send stuff over to my friend in Russia and am always paranoid about that. It took nearly almost TWO months for her to get my box that I sent her 2 weeks before X-mas. She didnt get it till the very end of Jan >___< What didn't help was the Russian president gave their ppl a week of a holiday in Jan which meant no mail. And what really sucks about sending stuff like that overseas, the US mail can not track it and they can't offer anything to track it either. Once its out of their hands and in customs, they can't locate it. Though I did save the form I filled out for customs just in case I had problems.

Oh, there will be plenty of pics all right. We are taking the reg. camera, an underwater camera, and the digital camera.

Wow! That sounds amazing! Have fun (and take lots of pictures to taunt us poor-non-cruise-taking people with!)

That sounds amazing!

I can only hope its more than I imagined what it will be like. Cool thing about being out in the open water like that, next week should be more fullness to the moon since right now its in its early cresent stages.

Oh I'm sure tons of pics will be taken. We're taking both our reg. camera, an underwater camera, and our digital camera. Just wish we had a video recorder.

Drat, got the skirt question wrong ;)

Wow x100 though!!! I knew where you were heading off to but I had no idea you would get opportunities like those "excursions.

Wishing you a safe journey and hope you have loads of fun!
