Still not many listed for the dub cast and its sad that right now, there are only 3 voices that I know of:

Kakashi = Steve Blum (this kinda makes me laugh though does this seem not too surprising that he got the role? At least its not Crispin, nothing against the guy.)

Naruto = Johnny Young Bosh (very odd for me to pic him as a loud obnoxious kid but here's to hoping he'll do the job right).

&

Sasuke = Mark Hildreth (falls over laughing)

Now if only Sakura was voiced by Relena, we'd be set. I'm not even familiar with Sakura's VA.

Here is a small listing of the cast but nothing much.

As for the airing date on Toonami:

Naruto will debut on Cartoon Network on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9:00pm, as part of the Toonami block. Episode 1 will run at 9:00pm, and Episode 2 will run at 9:30pm. Yeah, two in a row. Then, Cartoon Network will repeat Episode 1 at 10:00pm and Episode 2 at 10:30pm.

The following Saturday, Sept. 17, Naruto will settle into its regular weekly broadcast schedule: 9:00pm.

Christ, why does this shit have to start when I'll be on the road to PA for??!! Guess I'll just have to dvr it and watch the rest when it airs on the 17th.

I'm sorta familiar with Sakura's VA. She's not bad (though I'm basing this on Irresponsible Captain Tylor).

And...I'll be comparing (sad, but when u r used to watching the original Naruto, u got to see if the dub is good) the dubbing. Ah, a pet peeve (sorta).

Even though I'm anxious to hear how well they did the dubbing, I'm actually kinda afraid. But so far, having 3 VA's that I know of puts me a bit at ease. It could be worse, they could've had the cast that did the One Piece or WK dub *shudders*

Ah, a pet peeve (sorta).

I agree though I also rank it as a paranoia. I get that way all the time if its a series I've watched for so long and then knowing its getting dub scares me.

Just wait till the news comes out about Bleach being dubbed, pending on who picks it up, I'll be just as paranoid with that too.

Someone I know who was at AX mentioned that expect the CN toonami version of Naruto to have many cuts, but the dvds will be uncut. They are planning of not showing Haku's death... how do they plan to do that? I might just skip the tv part and wait for the dvds instead.

You should talk to my friend [livejournal.com profile] dunkle_feuer about Naruto and Bleach. I think she has a genuine plush Itachi, and you two could probably squee at each other about anime for hours. I have no idea what Naruto and Bleach are even about.

UGH! I swear to god, how in the hell can they edit out Haku's death??!!! I can't imagine all the blood and certain gory scenes they'll be editing out. I might watch one eps to hear how the dub sounds but after that, I'm hanging it up. I can't stand to watch shit that is just butchered all to hell. Its bad enough I'm forcing myself to watch One Piece cause it kinda suckered me in to seeing what the story was like (aside from the cheesy voices, names, and other things they took out and kiddyfied).

I'm not even going to waste my money on the dvds either. I have better series that is worth spending money on (that is when I have money to spend >__< )

I know you rec'ed another person to me awhile back (not sure if they were the same person or not) but I haven't had much time to check them out even though I need to get off my ass and do so. I think the only plush I bought from Naruto was Kakashi and the day I bought him at the con, he was the last one they had left. Thanx for the rec on the peeps to look up.
