This took place at the Dallas show. This also isn't going to be a long detailed report since I already seen NIN before, it will more likely be just a small rundown of things.

There is also going to be a few pics beneath the cut, beware of the new LOOK of a certain singer.

Before I forget, I got the package in the mail yesterday [livejournal.com profile] babaca, thanx a bunch for doing that for me.

We were actually running a little late since bubba came home from work late. It was around 7 when we were on the way to Dallas and I kept telling him it really didn't matter if we were late cause I wasn't so keen on the 1st opening band Death From Above 1979. We got there before 7:30, didn't bother getting a shirt since I can probably find it cheaper online and maybe find better designs while I'm at it.

Our seats were pretty good too. So Death came on to perform. Was not impressed. I told bubba it makes me wonder how they were picked up to go on this tour but considering that the band consisted of a drummer (who was the singer) and a bass player, its probably the cheapest opening act a headline band has ever had. Then again, I wouldn't care, I'd be like "dude, we're touring with NIN, who cares how much we suck." I swear 30mins couldn't have come any slower, it was a good time to take a nap.

After the big snooze came Queens of the Stone Age. Pretty good live. God damn if that singer isn't one tall MOFO!! After they got done playing a song, apparently a security dude pissed off the singer and the singer was just going off on the guy. Security dude must've been doing something to a fan and the singer was like "we're here to have a good time, get a grip." and some other words thrown in there I can't recall but made me go O________O OH SHIT. hehehehehehe

QOTSA came on around 8:30, NIN came on a little after 10.

Now its NIN's turn to shine.

A veryvery cool stage setup with the images, backdrops, and lighting. I almost find this better than what they used on The Fragile tour. Plus this time around, since With Teeth has less keyboards on the album, Trent stayed in front of the stage alot more. Even with what little keyboard was used for whatever Fragile songs they played, the keyboard player took care of that. I know during the Fragile tour, there was oodles of keyboards. God, it was just soooooo fucking great hearing them live again, you don't realize just how long 5yrs is till it hits you. I got the same feeling when we saw Type O Negative the last time (though every time we go see them, I just get the chills, such an awesome feeling they give).

They only sang 21 songs but I swear it didn't seem like it. They should've played more, and I just thought of this, I wanted to hear With Teeth live damn it!!! *cries like a baby* That would've fucking ROCKED live!!!!!!!!

I'm going to just copy what [livejournal.com profile] scarbie posted in her LJ about the song list cause it was pretty much the same::

1. Pinion
2. Love Is Not Enough
3. Wish
4. Terrible Lie
5. The Line Begins To Blur
6. March Of The Pigs
7. The Frail
8. The Wretched
9. Closer
10. Burn
11. Gave Up
12. Eraser
13. Right Where It Belongs
14. Beside You In Time
15. Sin
16. Reptile
17. Only
18. Hurt
19. Suck
20. The Hand That Feeds
21. Head Like A Hole

#2, #13, & 14 was great live too! The images they projected on the screen in front of the band was pretty freaky during #13 & 14 (alot of war images and stuff and some assholes were cheering when they were showing Bush dancing with his wife >____<) but it was cool cause they just had a light shining on Trent that was like veiled behind that screen.

The crowd just exploded when it came to singing along to Hurt (like automatic) and the lighters that came out for certain songs was mind blowing. When he sang Hurt, it was just him on stage with a keyboard and a light shining on him. Later on in the song was when the band chimed in but just him doing it solo was great.

I knew it was getting near the end of the show and I was about to tell bubba they still didn't play two songs yet, #20 and #21. Right when I went to open my mouth is when the opening lines for #20 started. I was kinda disappointed that they didn't do an encore and I could tell some of the fans around us were pissed. But its like, the band already started to destroy their equipment at the end of Head so it wouldn't have paid for them to do the encore. Show ended around 11:30.

Overall it was a pretty damn good show.

One of the things I will never understand about ppl and their seats is, if you want to get on the floor that fucking bad, why didn't you buy a god damn tix for the floor??!! They were the same price as the good seats we were in so WTF??!! Also if you have a seat and you are going to act like a fucktard pushing you and your buddy around trying to jam out, buy a god damn floor tix. These asswipes a few seats down from us were one of those. And the ppl behind us (more less just the one dude with his friends) wanted to go down to the floor so bad and it just doesn't make sense that these ppl don't pay attention when buying their tixs. Its not like the show was sold out and its not like the floor was totally filled either.

Now onto the pics. [livejournal.com profile] scarbie took some pics at the Chicago show she went to and it gives a good idea as to how the stage set up was like. You can check them out here.

Onto depressing matters. When NIN came on stage, it was hard to get a good look at Trent cause they still had that thin curtain down till after they got done with the 1st song. Then it was harder yet cause of all that smoke they had on stage. I said to bubba either Trent slicked his hair back or he cut it off.

TRENT BABY, HOW COULD YOU!!!!!!!!!!! If case ppl haven't seen but Trent shaved his hair off!!!!!!!!! He's got the fuzzy look now *weeps* Though I guess I can understand him doing that especially if he did it for touring. I wouldn't want all that hair in my face and sweating and stuff. But still!!! Sorry Julie, no chance in catching the boner, he was wearing some sweet ass tight leather pants though. Should buy some opera glasses in order to see the peeps on the stage better ^_~
