Well, I wasn't sure if I should do this or not since I seem like a pretty open person when it comes to talking about myself/life here. But if anyone wants to question me, feel free.

The problem with LJ: We all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Damn, so many communities with their challenges recently, I almost want to sign up for them. Though not sure what I should do in regards to it. (meaning should I or shouldn't I take on a burden that may or may not get accomplished)

I suck at doing these asking question things. Hm. Whats your favourite type of thing to do on a day off?

Put in requests at het_challenge! You don't have to actually write anything even if you do.

Though if you don't mind just pimping it, I know you've got a larger het contingent on your flist than I do. :3

What did you do when you were in the Army?

Yeah, I'm not very good with the question thing either, same goes with that "what I love about you" meme, I don't think ppl want me to be THAT honest on how I really feel. I'd rather just smile, nod my head, and move along.

Let's see, days off, either sleeping in, doing housework, lazing about doing nothing (mainly vegging), or actually getting out of the house and doing something productive for a change. Not very exciting though I usually have a total blast when around friends.

I've been racking my brain out on what I'd like to put in for the het_challenge. I can think of prompt's with no problem when it comes to art stuff yet will draw a blank from time to time when it comes to the fic side of things. I think I roughly have what pairings I'd like though so thats already decided.

There was another challenge comm that had a topic for Val. Day and though I would love for someone to do what they could for any of my choices, I'm not sure I could return the favor on writing for someone with a choice that was picked for me to write, especially in a fandom I'm still dipping my toes into. (even though I already have 4 fics in the making for said fandom)

I'll totally pimp the het_challenge though. It would be nice to see a good bit participate in.

My job was a 77F which in pure, reg. unpc talk, it basically means a gas pumper.

I drove a 5,000 fuel tanker (like a they haul fuel to gas stations) that was mainly diesel. We had a smaller truck that we had for reg. gas but not many things run on gas in the military.

Our job (since I was in a forward support unit) was to supply the main support units with fuel so they could fuel up the tankers and such out on the front lines.

Not a fun job at all. If you spill any or just ALOT, you have to dig up the ground so far and dispose of the soil in the proper container. IF the spill is really bad, hazmat has to be on scene. Now spilling fuel is more of a major problem in the US but out in the desert like out in the Middle East, if we had very small spills, we just cover sand over it but if it does get out of hand, we still dig it up (IF you can cause the ground beneath the sand is fucking HARD). If you spill any on your desert boots or hell, just on your skin, it fucking sucks. Fuel burns to the skin are not fun, you develop a rash and it does radiate some annoying heat from that area and I think sometimes it itches. I only got a little bit on my foot one time when it seeped through my desert boot but if you can get to some water to try and wash the area, its not quite that bad but sucky enough.

Also not a job to have if you have to go to war. Sure everyone is a target but the supply lines are the main targets. If you take out the supply, your fucked: no fuel, no water, no ammo etc. I'm just glad my time was up before the war ever started or just lucky that during my time in, that we didn't have to experience any war.
