I've been wanting to make an entry about this when we got it but I had to wait till bubba got around to taking pics.
We finally decided on doing this after bubba's gas bill for a month for his gas guzzler of a truck was way out of control. It's weird when I think about it cause we used to mention it from time to time but just never thought we'd act out on it.
So beneath the cut are pics of the new toy:

It is a new '07 Honda Shadow "Aero". We were looking at the '06's of the same kind and color but when we went to finally buy one, they sold the one bubba wanted and because of that, they told him that if he could wait another week or two, they were getting a shipment in of '07's same model. They even sold it to us for what they were going to sell the '06 for. The day we went to sign the papers and take the bike home, the bike was brand-spanking new as in it was still in the create when we got there. It was a pretty good deal too; with the price of the bike plus with us having to buy the windshield, the back rest, and bought extra warranty it only came out to around $7,000. Monthly payments for 3yrs is around $160.
We had to wait two weeks till the back rest came in and believe me, not having a back rest on really makes a difference. 4th of July weekend, we rode the bike out to his sister's house which is about an hr or so drive. The ride sucked for me cause the seat was a bit uncomfortable on my butt. I couldn't even adjust myself when I got uncomfortable cause it was a bit hard to do without making it harder for bubba to drive. We had to stop at least 3 times cause my ass hurt sooooooooooooooo bad!!!!!!! It sucks to be cursed with a bony ass. It hurt that bad that when I went to stand up to get off the bike, I had a hard time even trying to stand and then trying to move my leg so I could slide off the seat.
Now that we finally have the back rest on, it makes it a better ride but we haven't ridden that far yet since he put it on to determine if my ass will still hurt or not. We are taking the bike and driving down to College Station in two weeks and thats about a 3hr drive so we'll see how my ass holds up on that long trip. *wibbles* I either need a comfortable seat or stuff my pants with Northern Tissue.
Yes, I do get paranoid about bubba driving the bike to work every day since he has to drive into downtown Dallas and as most would know that Dallas/TX drivers are so reckless and full of road-rage. He started going without wearing a helmet now and that makes me just as paranoid. I make sure to wear mine every time we go out on it not only for safety measures but the wind is hell on my hair, I'd go bald just trying to comb the rats nest out. I don't know how other ppl do it cause I know damn well their hair would be hard to come out too. I try to make sure I braid my hair before I put the helmet on.
When we were checking out the bikes, I found something similar to bubba's but smaller and a tad bit lighter in weight. Pending on how I feel about it in the future if we are serious about getting me one, I'll get that but that's neither here nor there. But I was told I should still take the motorcycle course so I have the experience for various reasons.
He also took me out on a ride one weekend to show me just how hot it is out on those TX roads. He wasn't kidding, I don't see how bikers can stand riding in that heat during long distances. We didn't even go very far and even I was miserable.
As for our helmets, we both got the same color red. The pic. doesn't do it justice on the color. To describe what the red really looks like, its about as red as Renji's hair *dorkdork*. I even have an idea on what I want to do with mine and once I tried to get as far as telling bubba, he tells me "your NOT putting anime stuff on it!" I don't see why not, it is MY helmet :P :P :P I had an idea of maybe painting the designs of Renji's markings from his forehead on both sides of the helmet and the design of his VC badge on the top. We'll see though plus I'd have to see what kind of paint will actually hold onto what the helmet is made out of.

So who's going to treat my way to Otakon next yr for my 30th bday since they moved the dates to July 20-22? *snerks* No comment from the peanut gallery
guardianhunter. :p Since that con is closer to home where I'm from in PA, I would LOVE to take my youngest nephew since I've been dreaming up of having him cosplay as Hitsugaya and I'd go as Matsumoto. (keep in mind that the little stinker is 4 and adorable as hell!)

For those that want the eps of Metalocalypse for themselves, I found a torrent for it the other day and uploaded the actual eps here The Curse of Dethklok.
As I told
lone_wolf225 they need to offer this series with subtitles since half the time you can't understand what the characters are saying. Does ANYONE know what the helicopter pilot said when the chickens were shredded in the blades???
The grocery store still has me in stitches, especially the singer trying to be serious on doing the price check and the blond being sick on hitting on the GMILF.
Singer (before they start shopping): "Alright here's the deal. We have to do our own shopping so we can make our own dinner like regular jack offs do.
And just don't buy booze. That ain't food!

This morning we got our cosplay costumes completed!!! I'm sooooooooooo stoked now for AnimeFest to get here *bouncebounce*. They are so fucking awesome looking, they fit great, and all I need to do is get my hair done and find maybe two props to go with my costume. I'm not saying what they are just yet, only two ppl on my flist know what they are and well, the one doesn't count since she lives with me. I'm hoping we can get some pics taken next week, THEN I'll pimp it around.
