Could really care less about TB, had it on for background noise since nothing else was on tv. Was curious who did Abel's voice and I must say, Troy Baker is VERY nice on the eyes.

I controlled myself on not watching Bleach early since other places already had the 1st eps posted. I think the voices sound okay and yes, I'm tolerant of Rukia's. Though just something about her voice needs something added in, perhaps a bit more femme? The only one so far that I don't think I'm going to like is Kon or Cone (WTF is with the fucked up pronunciation?). Mitsuaki Madono will always be Kon to me.

I know this is a dumb question but if Rukia had no problem with the 1st Hollow, why did she struggle with the 2nd? Too big and powerful or cause Ichigo was fucking up her mojo? (meaning fighting them off, not so much of her not sensing it)

And how sad is it, I'm offering a prize for those that didn't participate for the Top Reviewer where you HAVE TO COMMENT ON ALL the entries and I only had one person do that. I don't think I'll be offering that anymore with the next contest. I'm almost to the point of getting tired of being too god damn nice to everyone and get shit on for my generosity. Hence why I don't offer anime on discs or other goods to the masses like in the past. If I held my breath for all the times ppl said they were going to do something nice for me in return for what I did, I'd be dead yr's ago.

Don't get me wrong, I like being nice and able to do things for good friends who are in need or just cause I like to do the occasional "surprise!" But there is a limit of how much one can do (except those on the Good Friend list) and not get anything back in return yet these are the same ppl that nearly demand ppl do stuff for them. And don't get me started on those who DO NOT SAY a fucking simple THANK YOU!

Yeah I thought Rukia sounded a touch more feminine. I think of Rukia as more of a tomboy type... or at least she usually sounds more serious maybe? And yeah they kind of explain that she had trouble sensing the second hollow because Ichigo was messing up her mojo. His spirit was so overwhelming it was screwing up hers, which of course is also why when she lends him her power he sucked up much of it like a hoover vacuum.

It wasn't so much of her not being able to sense the 2nd hollow, that I understood why. But she had a harder time killing off the 2nd hollow. I guess size did matter since the 1st one wasn't all that big.

It's been ages since I've been "into" Bleach, but when I was, I thought it was more chalked up to her inexperience at the job. Byakuya gave the impression he kept Rukia at arm's length from anything remotely resembling danger, in order to protect her. Unfortunately, he only impeded her as she didn't have the real time battle experience to deal with Hollows, esp. more than one. Then throw in the x factor of Ichigo's super massive Gary Stu powerz!111leleventyones!1 spirit pressure screwing with her chi ... yeah.

I thought Rukia's voice was far too stiff. I'm hoping that Ruff gets more comfortable with Rukia as the dub goes on, because otherwise I might just stop watching until Renji shows up so that I can hear what he sounds like. X_x;

I don't like the re-writing of the first ep either. X_x; It makes more sense in the manga why she can't fight the hollow (two harsh blows as opposed to just the one here). Not to mention I don't like the idea that Ichigo's reitsu just suddenly spiked when he's been around ghosts all his life.

I found her much more reserved in those earlier episodes, but this one came off more as... eh I dunno. Too arrogant? Not quite the right veneer of nobility? Ah well, we'll see.

I'm sad the contest isn't getting more reviews and votes. :( It was such a fun contest, too, and I hope we have more. The entries are very inspiring!

As for dubbed Bleach? Staying the hell away from it. I'll stick to my subs, thanks, but even I'm not into Bleach cause of the fillers. Not even Naruto, really. I'm more a fanfiction kind of gal at the moment.

This will no doubt be the last time I offer the top reviewer comment prize. I thought I'd be nice to spend a little extra money for that prize and ppl would jump on the idea. Sadly, that would require them to, GOD FORBID, comment on things (and we know how ppl get when it comes to commenting). Only one person did but they told me regardless that they would've commented on all of them anyways. Full comments at that! And since right now I'm the only one scrapping my money together for the prizes, it's no skin off my nose if I don't offer something ppl don't seem to care about.

I hope the next idea I have for another contest will be a bit better but I'm not holding my breath. Cause what I'm thinking about offering for the main prize, I could just easily sell them off and make money. But instead, I'm too god damn nice on what I'm about to do. Well at least you could vote on more than one entry that you liked. Most contests won't even grant you that much and it makes it so hard especially if you liked more than one.

I was hoping you would've had the time to submit even while you were away hence why I would've accepted your entry on the 2nd of Sept. I should've used my head at the time and told you to send the fic to me once your beta was done and I could've posted it for you.

But if all goes well, I have an idea for the next contest that I'll mention in late Nov. so hopefully you'll be able to participate then.

I have hopes that Ichigo's VA will grow into his role. I won't love him as Ichigo, but I won't hate him either. Rukia... I didn't really enjoy her acting, but I will have to give her a few episodes to settle in. (And I don't need to tell you that good interaction with Renji's VA is vital! ^_^)

Thanx! Just to have someone say that out of the blue whenever would make me happy. But the sad thing is, for all that I've done for alot of ppl, I never hear it said except for the veryvery few ppl that actually mean it.

I don't want to sound selfish when I make certain entries about what I would like to see or have or whatever but I sit back and recall things I've done for others and realize I'm not selfish at all. I would like to think I deserve something for all the giving I've done.

Yeah, a week ago I was going through some of the memory section on the RenRuki comm and saw what you made awhile back when the mod had her first little "contest" of sorts.

It did make me happy that there were a few who appreciated the recent contest. I kinda wonder though if it wasn't for my reminders if I would've had the amount that actually entered. I have another idea that I'll be posting about in mid Nov that I HOPE ppl will participate considering what the main prize might be (which I won't mention till that time).

I haven't watched the 2nd eps yet of dub Bleach and as much as I like the series, it really doesn't bother me if I watch the dub or not. I just have a feeling that once I start buying the dvds, I'll be watching it on the sub side. And I hear ya about the fillers, I pretty much gave up on watching the series. I get as far as dl'ing the raws and skim through it to see what's going on but thats as far as I go. I wish the ratings would drop in Japan when it airs to show them that the fillers such but I don't see that happening. Speaking of ratings and the dub, Adult Swim posted their #'s of what were the top 3 shows for Sat and Sun nights. Bleach and Trinity Blood weren't even on the list and like the bump said "Where is Bleach & Blood?" #3 was Family guy, #2, Inuyasha, #1 Family Guy. Bleach and TB has to be not too far down that list. But then again, I don't think anime does very well on who's watching.

I gave up on Naruto back during #109, I don't even read the manga anymore. I had to dl eps. 200 recently for a friend and I skimmed over it before I sent it to her and I just couldn't get into it. What kills me is that One Piece has done quite a bit of fillers and it blends in so well with the reg. story that I enjoy it very much. In fact, One Piece is probably my all time fav. anime right now and I've stuck through all 276 eps!! (I haven't started the manga yet) It surpasses what Bleach and Naruto ever was to me and thats sad. I even feel more comfortable in the OP fandom than any fandom's I've ever been in.

I used to read fics ALL the time, alot of that was during my very long GW yr's. But I kinda grew out of it as time went on. I'll read something that might catch my eye but it wasn't the huge amount that I used to read.
