me10drama came in from Australia. Mel's everything I pictured online with her persona and I LOVE hearing her talk. We didn't cover much anime to watch, I think we spent most of the anime watching Full Metal Panic! for those who weren't exposed to it yet. Stella and Rose spent their time on getting their script completed, Angeldreams was over for a good bit before she finally had to go. Later Mel finally opened up her rum that she brought with her from Aussie and that is some pretty strong stuff, I was trying to think what it equivalted to with taste but I guess the only thing I can come up with is maybe JD. Then much later in the night while Jen and Stella were taking care of getting the script printed out, Mel and I watched eps. 10 of Hellsing on dvd cause not only is that my fav eps, but I wanted to see how it sounded dub. *scratches head in thought* I do like both versions but I seem to like the younger version of Integral in japanese than in english cause it sounds like the same girl who did Ceres. Once we got done with that eps, Mel wanted to watch my Escaflowne Movie dvd since I haven't even watched it since I purchased it. The last time I saw it was at the movie theatre when it was playing selective cities so it was good to see it again. Even though I did take a few cat naps earlier, we all didn't go to bed till 5am O___O
Thurs we took Stella to the airport, ate lunch, sat at the restaurant for a good hr or so just talking up a storm about fics, fandom, and our usual only with an extra person to help share the misery and wealth with (mel). It always feels good to have these little discussions. Went to Best Buy later and I'll be damned if I can find the 4th WK dvd that I need to complete my WK collection. The way things are going in finding it, I may just have to order it online and use the giftcard for something else. Same with Gundam 08th MS Team, I still need Millers Report to complete my 08th dvd collection and while they might have 1-4 set on the shelf, I can't find Millers at all and I don't feel like blowing $30 at Planet Anime just for a side piece to the series. Chilled out for a little at Rose's place till they realized they needed an adapter for Mel's laptop and we were off again in search. Got what she needed and proceeded to get coffee (mmmmmmmmmmmmm! Its been awhile since I had my usual) and we sat there having more discussions about anime, fandoms, and such. Good stuff! Talking things out with those who are into the same as I makes me appreciate certain things more. By the time we got back to the house, we went to get dinner, came back and slowly dragged my ass to the shower, and hopefully have a bit of time to take a very short nap before work. Sleep was goooooooooooood! I didn't want to get up *sobs*
Course it never fails that when I know I'm getting something in the mail that I wanted to bring with me, I don't get it till the day of. So hubby told me that a package from Singapore came for me which I know what it is!!! My Full Metal Panic! japanese 2003 calendar!!! *bouncebounce!*
I just realized something..................counting the weekend, I belive we got 7 more days till it nears Ushicon!!! AND next week will be a short week for me at work since I'll only be working mon-wed and then taking that Thurs and Fri off for the con. I soooo can't wait! To see Anna, Kelly, Holly, and the others who I never met before. Good times! And even though I'm dog tired, I can smile much about it ^___^
