This past afternoon, we got hit with another bad storm. It timed it just right for the power to go out cause my alarm went off around 3:30pm, I shut it off and just laid in bed for a bit dozing off. I finally woke up when I noticed that the AC in the bedroom quit running and checked the time to see it was after 4. There was nothing for me to do, I couldn't even read a book since the house was kinda dark considering the storm made it kinda dark as well. I laid on the couch once I got my little alarm clock out of the car and realized just how much we take electricity for granted. I was laying on the couch trying to take another nap when it started to get too warm in the house. Living in Texas is not a good place to be when your electricity goes off on you especially during the hot months. I just don't see how ppl survived back in the old days. I then started to get hungry but was pretty much screwed since we have an electric stove, course the microwave isn't going to work, and I didn't want to stand with the fridge open too long in case of letting the cool air out. To my surprise, bubba called my cell phone and asked if I was hungry and if he should pick me up some food. Talk about timing!! The power came back on about an hr later but I hope this shit soon stops. I believe they are calling for rain till Sun and I don't mind it raining, I'm just tired of these damn storms.
Then tonight, finally hit my nerve button when it comes to seeing just how much pigs ppl really are!! I mean come on, are these ppl that disgusting in their own homes??? I went to go heat up some water for my tea (yes, I finally developed a taste for it O__O) in one of the few microwaves they have at work. When I opened the door, it just fucking grossed me out. Someone heated some food and didn't bother cleaning up after themselves when their food exploded. Another disgusting thing to see is Fri nights in the ladies bathroom. There are quite some nights when I go in and it looks like someone just had a fucking party in there. Toilet paper everywhere, piss all over the seats, some toilets are clogged with god knows what. This is supposed to be such a prestigious company but jesus christ, it makes you really wonder. And its bad enough that the cleaning crew don't come in till sometime later on the weekend, it disgusts me to even be a woman, I'd hate to see how messy the mens bathroom is too. Sorry to gross those out who happens to read this but I'm so sick and tired of seeing ppl act like pigs.
Earlier when I got to work, my super came in and handed me a plaque thingy stating that as of Thurs, it marked 3yrs of me working here. Actually its 4yrs but the 1st yr I worked here, I was through a temp service. So asshole goes "I'm surprised you survived this long working here." If anything, I'M the one that should be surprised considering who I have for a fucktard supervisor. Working with that guy would make anyone quit. My job isn't all that bad, I don't know what the fuck he's talking about.
*sigh* Another busy Thurs night, I guess I should catch up on some emails I've been meaning to write to ppl who I haven't talked to in quite awhile.
