Naruto #40 was as good as I expected it to be. Funny to see Kakashi actually get scared for a change around Orochimaru but I also don't see Kakashi sacraficing his life so easily just over Sasuke. At least Orochimaru has a weakness, he is even afraid of Itachi, that kid must be pretty bad if even the main bad dude is feared by him.
Course leave it to Kakashi when he comes back to where the matches are being held:
Kakashi: Hey!
Sakura: Don't "HEY" me!
At least Kakashi was smart enough to have Anbu's guard Sasuke while at the hospital.
Now onto the really REALLY ubber icky part. The fight with Shino (aka bug dude) and Zaku was something else. I was surprised to see that they kinda toned it down in the anime on not having Zaku's arms blow up cause I'm pretty sure thats what was supposed to happen. But seeing those bugs come out of the holes in Shino's skin had my skin crawling and just the heebee jeebees all over, its just so gross!!!! And then to even hear the story about how his clan use those bugs made me squirm even more.
I'm pretty sure that in the upcoming fights, Neji and Hinata will be fighting each other, thats going to be some fight since they are related. I don't know why I thought they were bro and sis but they are cousins.
YAY!!! I got an update from VIZ in my email saying that for sure this month Naruto vol #1 is coming out. I'm hoping that maybe this coming weekend I'll be able to find it if I can get Rose to go to Planet Anime. But I'm also going to have to see if VIZ don't have a subscription to where I can get Naruto each time a vol comes out instead of having to find a way to get it at the store.
I find this highly disturbing with these japanese sites I was checking out last night. What the hell!!!?? Kakashi x Sakura???!!! Gross!!! That just screams wrong in all directions and the pics have her as the same age in the anime/manga. Plus I found a KxS webring and you wouldn't BELIEVE the amount of sites out there on that coupling X____X. I'd rather deal with incest than seeing this kind of pairing, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if Sakura was older but not when she's 12 and Kakashi is 26. I have yet to find a decent amount of Sasuke x Sakura japanese sites. Must take the time to search like crazy on finding a webring at least for them.
On a better note, I found a really awsome Yondaime japanese site (the 4th Hokage and also the dude that did the seal on Naruto, who was also Kakashi's sensei). The art is stunning and he seemed to have been a very laid back kinda guy who cared about his students (hence why Kakashi acts the way he does too). Now the thing I have yet to find out is, how was Naruto born??? I mean I can't see them or Yondaime creating Naruto out of magic. Cause when you look at the two, you'd think that Yondaime was Naruto's father with the spikey hair and same color. So if anyone out there that has been following the early stages of the manga, does it say??? I might have to look into getting some icons made of him.
