So who out there besides me, finds the new Outkast song "Hey ya", addicting??

I actually find their music to be good. I recall them doing the ending theme song to the Scooby Doo movie and kept hitting the back button on the dvd remote just to dance around the house to it. The thing that sticks to my mind the most with them was the video to "The Whole World" which had like freaky clowns and circus stuff going on. And after looking at their lyrics and albums, I did not know they did the song "Ms. Jackson". I remember them doing a spoof of it on MAD TV.

The sad thing is, I might actually look into getting their new cd. Or just look into downloading some songs from it first before making that decision.

*raises hand sheepishly* I do! I've had to listen to it because it's on at least one of the Urban collection DVDs that we have to play at work, and I was surprised to find that I actually like the song. Normally, I can't stand rap. But it is addicting.

The new CD has been selling like crazy, at our store at least. But I wouldn't worry about an Outkast shortage. We've yet to sell out. :P

I'm the same way too, can't stand rap but for some reason, this band isn't too bad. In fact, its such an upbeat song, you can't help but bop along to it no matter where you're at. tehehehehehe they played part of the song last night at the hockey game and aside from myself but the ppl I could see around me were moving along to it.

Since you won't have internet till whenever, ummmm.......if you still have your cell phone handy, either text me or find a way to let me know when you get your package/box in the mail. I plan on sending it out priority come Mon night and I want to make sure you got it and how you like whats inside.

Oh, my cell # is (903)521-5225

Good luck with the move and the unpacking, I feel for ya!

I love that song... so much so that I burned it onto a cd containing songs by Rammstein, Sevendust, Lacuna Coil, Evanessence and a few others... very interesting cd indeed...

Also try the song The Whole World cause thats pretty funky too. I kept forgetting to tell you about Electic 6. I thought the name sounded familiar and here I already heard about them. I even dl'ed a song that I saw a video to back during the summer called either "electric" or "Hight Voltage", I forget what the title was since its on a disc around here somewhere. I did dl some more songs from them though. Not a bad band, I just wonder if getting any of their cds are worth it.

I'm trying out another band called Mindless Self Indulgence. I can't remember if I included the amvid of their song Pussy All Night that is done to Rahxaphone clips or not but its a badass song.

Disregard about what I said about Mindless, I'm going to send you a disc of some of the songs I just dl'ed today. You might like it.

I like the song 2! I also downloaded "The Way U Move," which I find as a nice song. I'm not a rap fan, but I do listen listen to their songs and download some of them.
I dunno, I might buy it...later.

HEY YA!

Holy shit! I thought I was the only one ( and others are commenting on how out of character it is for me, but fuck that)! I love that song, I think it's so charming and cute with the 1950's pop vibe. I was going to mention that in an upcoming journal entry b/c he's hitting my city soon. Hahaha, though I'm not sure if I would go see him live...

Personally I'm sick of hearing "Hey Ya." It's a good song and that damn line, "Shake it like a Polaroid picture" is rather catchy. But damn, after hearing it day in and day out at work from a crappy little nightlight radio thing it starts to grate on the nerves. I swear to God the only songs they played on that station were, "Hey Ya," "The Way U Move," and "Holiday Inn." And one mustn't forget the occassional Mariah Carey Christmas song. W00T!!!

Other than that, Outkast are pretty damn good. I do like "Ms. Jackson" and a few others. Andre is a freak.
