So I'm looking at the awards to *coughugh*Nanashi*coughugh* and why don't they make awards that kinda go with the pairing the fic is? (if its called for) Why are they using for the non-yaoi award 1xR fic (which how does it feel [livejournal.com profile] blkros to have that under your belt now? ^_~) an incest pic??? Out of all the non-yaoi pics out there to use and they use THAT??!! (I don't mind 3xC but I think that was a bit uncalled for to use in this case) Then they can't even spell non-yaoi right, is it me or does it say yuri?

I think it would only make sense.

On the one hand, the category isn't specifically for romantic fics, so I can see why the couple on the banner wouldn't necessarily have to be a romantic one. On the other hand, the winning fic was romantic, so shouldn't the award reflect the nature of the fic? It just seems sort of...shoddy. But then, it's such a biased contest. Regardless, [livejournal.com profile] blkros deserves accolades and it's about fickin' time she won! Rock on, Rose. You prove wrong everyone who declares 1xR boring and unromantic.

Re:

yea, you are right about the category, not being necessarily romantic, so I yea, I guess that's not really a point.

I think the banners should reflect the story or at least look like effort has been put into each one. I think what it might be, is that the banner makers don't want to look through non yaoi art so they just go to one or two sites, pick out a nono-yaoi pic they can stomach and then use it.

Re:

Oh, I agree. I think the banner makers ought to at least read the winning fics and put more effort into the banners. The writers deserve as much. (But then, where are you going to find a 3x11 picture? That was the pairing in my winning fic, a couple of years ago.)

Heh. I don't even like the term non-yaoi used to describe het. Non- makes me think something is missing or lacking. I mean, is a woman a non-man?

Re:

I actually agree with the non part. I mean, I never thought of it that way.

I prefer to use het myself and it seems to have caught on and is being used more now than non-yaoi which is good I think, because it does make much more sense and plus it just sounds better too.

Ack! Well, thank you so very very much. It really means a lot coming from you. :)

And I dunno about asking for another badge.... I'm not exactly Katsu's favorite person, I don't think. We got into a "discussion" about some of the differences in scoring of the same fic in different categories a few years ago. I did send her the program from Anime Fest with her Trigun fic in it, though, so maybe she doesn't completely hate me.

I'll go check out the badge, now. Though, I don't guess my hopes are too high. :/

*hugs*

Love,
Rose
