Thanx to [livejournal.com profile] bri_chan for posting the pics of the anime version of the gang from Scooby Doo. It seems that Shaggy is quite the hottie amongst the fans right now, and I have to agree. I just wonder what his eyes look like under that mop.

You can check the designs out here

It would be nice if they actually create an anime from this, I know I'd watch it. And who knew that a dorky stoner could be a bish? ^_~ Not I.

I dunno if I'm hip to an anime Scooby. I mean they even changed their names (not that Americans don't do a lot of the same thing with the Japanese characters, though they're changing names, less and less).

I guess I hated it when they did the X-Men manga(though I'm not sure how popular it was with fans). I mean I can see it now, the anime fans forgetting where it is Scooby came from, squealing over a bishi Shaggy(not Shaggie, though, I'm sure they'd start adopting the Japanese versions of the characters names). Even though I'm sure it exists, I really don't want to see an explosion of Shaggy and Fred slash or Velma and Daphne yuri all over the place.

If so many anime fans weren't of the mind set that everything Japanese is cooler and better then anything American, I wouldn't mind so much, but Scooby-Doo is one of those things, that is ingrained into Amercian society for the most part and I don't think it should be messed with.

I mean the day I start seeing American fans referring to Scooby-Doo as Tskuubi because "that's the way it's suppose to be" I will seriously start crying.

Actually the names aren't changed. Thats what you would hear if they were spoken in japanese and how they would be written too since *I think* that the japanese language doesn't have ceritan letters like L and V. But if you try to speack it they dont' sound that much differnt. Though Tsukuubi is a bit hard to get around the english tounge. So Beruma is really Velma but you have to have B whch soudns liek a V is written a certian way adn the "Ru" combonation take theplace of an L when written. I have the character that they use written out somewhere in my room but its still the same. ANd that i every Constantet liek G, H, or S and so has to have a vowle with it. Okay mandy needs to really actually learn to speak japanese instead of learing the mechanics of the language. *argh*

Well, yea, it's the mechanics of the thing, I realize, I was just saying that if native English people started using those forms over the original forms, that I'd find somewhat unbearable.

then by law theya re tyo gutted and hanged by thier toenails for sucha sagarlige to Scooby Doo. cause that's dumb.

The Scooby pics aren't really Japanese. Anime Insider does an anime style rendering in each issue of American characters as an amusing what if.

They're also the ones who put together what if cast lists for live action versions of anime.

Thanx for clearing that up, I know there wasn't much info given as to what it was about. But still, thats a great version of the gang looking like that way though.

To me, that's a relief.

Thanks for clearing that up.

If in fun, it's not bad to see at all. ^_^

I could possibly see some 'interesting' Scooby Do doujinshi in that style... hmmm...
