This is in regards to the ones they've been showing on cable.
Yesterday morning, I caught the middle of The Others with Nichole Kidman. I fell asleep before the end so I was lost as to what was going on. It was on again last night and STILL picked up on the same spot as I did in the morning but this time I watched it till the end. My reaction to this was O________________O WTF! It totally took me by surprise. Now the thing that sucked for me is that I never got to see the very beginning so I know I missed out on some clues. I'm hoping its on again soon so I can prepare myself to watch all of it. But aside of the weirdness, it wasn't a bad movie.
Scarface was also on last night and I never seen it ^^;;; but I wanted to check it out, only to have slept through most of it. But at least I was awake during the part I wanted to see, "Say hello to my little friends!" I think Al Pachino did his role great (I think he's a pretty good actor to begin with) and I always get a kick out of how Tony Montana talked.
Speaking of roles Al was in, I also got suckered into watching The Godfather pt2 about two weeks ago. And yes, I never forced myself to sit down and watch all 3 movies regarding GF so that means I never really seen the movies. I was kinda lost during pt2 but I guess I had to watch pt.1 in order for it to make sense? Either way, it seems like a good movie and all the mafia talk and scenes, I couldn't help but think Gungrave *fangirlgeek*
Now today, if I can remind myself to do so, I see that Nat'l Lampoon's Van Wilder is on. Bubba said it was pretty funny so I must check that out myself. Just hope it doesn't come on when Terry and Terri come over today.
Even though it is kinda rainy out, we also plan to use the pool. Bubba's been heating it up again since Fri morning and its already at a really nice temp to go swimming. Its not even overly cold out so that helps, plus I'm sure once its all said and done, we'll be hitting the hot tub before T&T go home.

You saw Scarface! I love that movie. My best friend who is a Mobster movie connoisseur got me to watch that movie and the Godfather films.
But at least I was awake during the part I wanted to see, "Say hello to my little friends!" I think Al Pachino did his role great (I think he's a pretty good actor to begin with) and I always get a kick out of how Tony Montana talked.
Yeah, that line is a keeper. I love the way Tony talked too! Especially the way he said 'man'. It's a shame you fell asleep on it. Did you see the part where they had him in the bathtub?

I really love the second one. Robert De Niro was so handsome. I still haven't watched GF3 all the way through.

The second movie was well written but I think that seeing the first GF would make GF2 make more sense. That way you can see how Michael got his position (which was awesome) and see the type of man Vito became.
Heheheh, Gungrave is kinda like an animated Godfather isn't it? The Godfather mixed with Berserk.

No I missed that. What was of that scene?

Sounds pretty interesting, those were the brothers right?

That I'm quite sure of. I haven't seen much of Berserk but I heard and saw pics of it. Funky combination ^_~

I mixed up the names there. You get to see how Vito got his position and to see the type of man Micheal (Al Pachino) became. Robert De Niro played the younger Vito and Marlon Brando played him in the first Godfather.

*LOL* It is, isn't it? I think that you would kinda like Berserk based on how much you're enjoying Gungrave.

O__O. Well, whenever you feel like telling me, feel free. I have a feeling that I won't be seeing this movie any time soon. I was just lucky to catch it on cable that night.

This is too funny. They showed Godfather the other night on HBO and I recorded it cause I knew I was going to fall asleep anyways. It made me think of this conversation. Now it does make a bit of sense of what little I saw of the 1st. UGH! Vito suuuuuuuuure did get the case of the uglies eh? O____O The dude that played the young Micheal in the 1st one sure could've been a spitting image of young Pachino. Scary.
Eventually, I wouldn't mind giving Berserk a try.
