I would go on a tangent about the morons at work but I'll save that for another day. The evil person that I have to gripe about is my lovely dear friend War Dove. If it weren't for sleep, she and I would probably chat 24hrs straight. Which is why I like Fri nights at work cause most of the time its slow and it gives me more time to chat longer which she was online tonight. We later got on the subject of Kenshin Samurai X movie and she asked me if I've watched the new OVA Seisouhan that she sent me. I told her no cause of what we were told what it was about and the sad ending, I didn't want to be depressed. So she's telling me of certain scenes and certain characters and pretty much cyber poked me into watching parts of it. Gee, lucky me happened to carry around the package she sent me in my bag that I take to work and put the disc in the computer.
WARNING! Spoilers below!!! but not too much.
In some ways, I'm glad that she did prod me into looking at it cause it wasn't quite as bad as I thought. Sano is FUCKING HOT!!!!!!!! His hair grew a bit longer and he has a bit of facial hair X__X. That was one of the reasons to see it. 2ndly, Yahiko (sp?) turned out to be a very very handsome young man. I'm not overly big for the style of animation that they used but it grows on you cause it actually gives it that more human look than an anime style. Kenji, Kenshin and Karou's son, was adorable as a little kid and as he got older, he's close to the spitting image of his father. I do not like the japanese voice for Kenshin cause he's too damn femme. I'd rather hear the dub speak and know that its a guy doing his voice.
Aside from the characters, certain scenes were just great. One is the limey love scene between Kenshin and Karou but yet this OVA is so sad, I think I even had tears in my eyes during that moment cause of knowing Kenshin has a disease and is dying. The romantic moments they get to have is enough to make you ooh and ahh especially when they are serious with love when they show them kiss. (most likely we are thinking its TB since it was a killer back in the era that Kenshin takes place) He's already marked with it on his skin that looks like a really bad birthmark on his chest and part of his back. Then we get to the part where Sano finds Kenshin and the termoil that he feels towards his ailing friend is so touching, I got teary eyed at that (along with the hugging moments cause Sano knew that this was the end for his dear dear friend). Poor Kenshin was weak and could barely keep his memories in tact. Lets just say that the ending was very sad but its not as heartbreaking as a friend of ours informed us when it first came out. Yes we are in denial that there is no such thing and that it doesn't fit for the original Kenshin series since the end of the manga just ends with Kenshin and Karou together (even though it did mention their son Kenji but he was only a baby). They could do without the death, its just so wrong. But after the credits, there is a small scene with Kenji and this young girl (who the viewer will assume will be his long life mate) who looks the spitting image of Karou, and it gives you a nice feeling regardless of how depressing the rest of the anime was.
I kept telling War Dove and my friend Cheryl that I didn't want to finish watching the rest to the end cause I didn't want to cry at work. Well needless to say I couldn't stop watching it and I did have a few moments when the tears came. Eventually I'll watch it in its entireity. Sure I will admit that there are some animes that make me emotional but this Kenshin OVA takes the cake.
And that dear people is why my friend War Dove is an evil lady who corupts me to the fullest but I love her anyways ^___^
Because of seeing and knowing the story they are trying to portray w/ the ending of Kenshin made me think of a "what if" fic basing it off the EW novel (not the english stuff that is released here, its from the radio based program damn it if I can't think what the hell that shit is called, radio drama perhaps??) where Heero says to himself that if the last blow to the compound kills Relena, then he would soon follow in death. *many hugs and thanx for cheryl for the input and translating it for us* But she's another evil person saying that if I'm having a bit of frustration trying to write this damn lemon, she'd hate to see the problems I will come up with for a non-lemon fic *growls but glomps her anyways*
Now to rid myself of this angst and sadness I had to witness tonight, I shall indulge my brain with usless funny hentai anime to sooth my soul and perhaps spur me into writing more for my damn fic. *kicks stubborn fic*

I don't blame ya for being a bit spooked for being on your own for so long, that happened to me a few times when bubba was out in the field for a few days (back when we were still in the army) so I would try to get one of my girlfriend's I worked with to stay with me at the house.
Yes I love the icon too, also done by one of my favorite 1xR doujinshi artist Bambi Takada. Plus I have a HUGE obsession of GW eps. 40 when Relena is Queen and Heero is in that OZ uniform *swoons*
