I saw that on Animenation's site yesterday... why they even would consider something like that newsworthy is beyond me... according to some people I know, it's a rumor... I think Anime News Network has posted something about it being a rumor...
Looks like they would wait until they got info from a more reliable place than a message board before spreading it around everywhere. I mean, really, BBS? You can say anything you want to on those things, but that doesn't give them accuracy or authority.
And I don't see how they can end Inuyasha in September and still cover all the remaining manga chapters. The manga hasn't ended yet, and I just don't see how they can create a satisfying anime ending that would tie up all (or at least most) of the loose plot points just lying around without waiting for Takahashi to finish the manga. Because unlike the episodic Ranma which was fine having the anime end before the manga, Inuyasha has a continuous plot.
