AWWWWWWWW!!! I decided to watch the Inu Yasha eps I taped on Sat night before I took my nap this evening. Its such a sweet moment when Inu turned human and laid his head on Kagome's lap while he was recovering from the poison the spider injected in him. YAY! More Shippou scenes too. But of course once Inu turns back into his demon self, he can be such a selfless bastard (okay can't think of a word for him but how about, he needs to get laid, that would cure his pissyness ^__^). I guess he seems a bit calmer when he's human. But none the less the Inu and Kagome scene was touching.

Sun night hubby and I finally got around to watching the Spiderman movie dvd and my opinion of it, it wasn't all that great. I'll admit that geek boy Toby McQuire has a nice bod but thats about it. I think that the movie was a bit cheesy. Out of all the movies they based comic book characters from, X-Men takes the cake for being the best one out there. I soooooooooooo can't wait till X-Men 2 comes out next spring. In fact, I think I watched more of the X-Men dvd more than what I will of the Spiderman movie.

Even though it was upsetting that the Dallas Stars lost their game on Sat night, at least they made a come back tonight, still not bad for only losing one game. Just hope that the winning streak continues for the Mavericks and the Stars(in case not many ppl know, its the Dallas basketball team and the hockey team)

I'm very anxious for Thanksgiving to get here cause [livejournal.com profile] soraaoi is coming up to visit all curtousey of hubby being so nice to invite her up and pay for her bus tix.

Speaking of the holiday, it must be nice to have a 3day weekend from work. I only get the holiday off and then have to come back that fri just to work one freakin night!! ARGH! And then some kids have the whole week off of school for holiday vacation too. We never had that in PA, we had MAYBE 3 day weekend, thats about it. Then again we had to worry about snowdays too unlike the schools down here in Texas. Hell even for X-mas, we had the 23rd- after New Yr's off school. Which I'm sure other schools will have a week off as well. Curse them all!!!!

Now for something TOTALLY stupid! Sun night I was watching this thing on VH-1 that had to do about Bubblegum cheesy ass bands from the 50's the whole way up to now. I was lucky to catch it when I did when they were talking about the song "Yummy yummy yummy got love in my tummy" by the Ohio Express This goes to show how ppl have no life and so much time on their hands that they have to dig REALLY deep to find out the meaning of the song. Supposedly the song is about oral sex O__O. Now how in the HELL do you pick that out by looking at these lyrics?

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy.
I got love in my tummy,
And I feel like a-lovin you:
Love, you're such a sweet thing,
Good enough to eat thing
And that's just a-what I'm gonna do.
Ooh love, to hold ya,
Ooh love, to kiss ya,
Ooh love, I love it so.
Ooh love, you're sweeter,
Sweeter than sugar.
Ooh love, I wont let you go.

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy,
I got love in my tummy,
And as silly as it may seem;
The lovin' that you re giving,
is what keeps me livin'
And your love is like
Peaches and cream.
Kind-a like sugar,
Kind-a like spices,
Kind-a like, like what you do.
Kind-a sounds funny.
But love,honey
Honey. I love you.

Yummy, Yummy, Yummy,
I got love in my tummy,
That your love can satisfy;
Love, you're such a sweet thing,
Good enough to eat thing
And sweet thing, that ain't no lie.
I love to hold ya,
Oh love, to kiss ya,
Ooh love, I love it so.
Ooh love, you're sweeter,
Sweeter than sugar.
Ooh love, I wont let you go.

Oooooooookay, perhaps while reading it NOW and knowing what the song is supposed to be about, I can kinda see it being about oral sex. The bands response was "It was the 60's and during the summer of love, what did you expect?" But christ! These ppl remind me those in fandom land that have to fucking analyze and nit pick about everything fucking thing that goes on in certain to all anime. Ppl like this makes me wanna smack them so hard till they get some brains and tell them to get a fucking life!!! Losers!!!

*sigh* But we can't win them all. Yet some will tell me (as well as myself) that I don't have a life, well after seeing what these ppl do by searching the meaning for lyrics, those are the ones that put us to shame.

Hey, at least the FBI didn't spend over a million dollars trying to figure out the lyrics to Yummy like they did with Louie, Louie when all they had to do was buy a copy of the sheet music.

Hmmm, maybe Sugar by the Archies needs to be investigated ~_^

I agree, last Saturday's Inu ep was very touching, and funny. Inu isn't a selfish bastard, he's just cranky - especially after Shippou threw up on him.

I was kinda stuck on words for Inu Yasha for the way he always have to be so snippy to Kagome when she tries to do things and what have you. I think he just needs a good lay, that should help clear up his grumpyness ^__^. I think it all depends on the voice actors too on how they make the character to be. The jap version of IY voice, he sounds not quite so pissy and harsh, just irritated. The dub kinda makes him mean so to speak but it seems like once they start getting comfortable on doing the voices, he's not quite as bad as before.

They also brought that up about the Archies song on the VH-1 show but they didn't go into details with the lyrics like they did with Yummy Yummy. Hmmm...the thing about Louie Louie sounds familiar, why did the FBI make such a big deal about the song?

Re:

Someone wrote them a letter complaining about the song, saying it was full of sex and drugs and songs like that were poisoning the minds of teenagers, turning them away from God and country. The weird thing is, it was a teenager who wrote the letter.

Crazy, useless fact of the day time!! ^_^

Now granted, it's been quite a while since I heard this story, so I could have fudged some of the details. But apparently, 'Louie, Louie' bore more than a passing resemblance to another song by a different band (neither of which I can remember at the time). The songs were basically word-for-word, note-for-note, and I guess the original owners were none too pleased about the resemblance. I think this was also before it was generally accepted to do cover versions of other bands' songs; either that or The Kingsmen never offered to acknowledge that whoeveritwas were the real original owners of the rights to 'Louie, Louie'.

To avoid a copyright lawsuit (keep in mind this was quite a long time ago, and law was not so cutthroat as it is now), they just re-recorded the song and made the words completely garbled and impossible to understand. Apparently this satisfied the original owner of the song, and the rest is history.

Of course, everyone assumes that because you can't understand a word they're saying in that song, they deliberately mumbled the words because they were talking about something dirty. But the real lyrics are pretty innocuous; I think the song is just about a beautiful lady, or something like that. I can't remember; it's been too long.

And that's your Useless Fact of the Day! ^_^

Two more days! Eee! EEE! Teehehehe!

What's wrong with PA?! All teens must have a week to prepare to stuff themselves with turkey and dressing. =P

Take care hon!

Re: =D

Yeah PA is pretty strange but then again, Texas has surprised me in more ways than one. I agree though about letting kids get over from being overly stuffed on the holidays. I wouldn't want to roll into school like a weeble.

Inu yasha...

Will only get more complicated... I agree the Inuyasha/Kagome scene where he sleepily admits he likes her scent was nice. The next two episodes will start to get things more complicated with Inuyasha and Kagome. That's all I'll say. :)

As for music ... well today there's no euphemisizing of lyrics. :)

Re: Inu yasha...

OH MAN! I can only imagine whats to come up next for IY. I just wish they will get to the damn eps when Miroku shows up, I wanna hear Kirby play a pervert ^__^ Tis why I wish we had cable modem and such, it would be so much easier for me to download anime like War Dove's been doing. Lucky girl's got all the eps up to date I think it was to 90-91. Plus there's other anime that I want to download so bad too or just to look for.

I agree with the lyrics part, thats for sure.
