Had my self eval last night at work. I was waiting for Steve to just blabber on and on and repeat himself constantly about shit we already know about or what to better ourselves. He just had me read over the print out instead of him having to go over it like always and bore me to death. I had to laugh when I see his high praises about my attendance::
Becky’s work performance this past year reflects a solid reliable commitment to her job responsibilities. She has an outstanding attendance record and is able to perform her duties with minimum supervision during the early morning hours of her shift.
I pointed that out to him and he said how for the times that he's worked the position that he has, I'm probably the best employee he had when it came to attendance. I don't waste my time given, unless it is for a good use. I have my weekends off, I have time to do things (when I'm not sleeping), and you just never know when those days off are going to have to come in handy. I just can't take a day off cause I feel like it (even though you can) but I'd be bored out of my skull if I took off for the hell of it. Plus with bubba's odd work schedule, its not like we can do many things together anyways.
So this end of yr self eval is what determines the outcome of your bonus and raise. I got a .53 raise which may not sound like much to some but hey, ya can't complain. I'm making decent money to begin with. My bonus is the same as last yr's which is really GOOD, even after taxes it will still be a nice amount of chump change. Like Steve said too, you have to be grateful that the company is making the money it does and in our field, unless they would faze out the printroom, this company should be going strong for a good long while since after all; we all have to pay taxes or property tax so how else are ppl going to get their notices? And ya can't complain too much when a company gives you a nice bonus and raise every yr. Compared to some business who won't even give their employees that much in a yr's time. Some have to wait either 5 yrs or none at all.
The change won't take affect till the 27th but it'll still be nice to bring a little more home.
