WOO! I FINALLY went to the doctor about the pains in both heels of my feet, after putting it off for nearly 5 months. -__- After hearing from others and what my older sis went through last summer, I thought too that I would've had bone spurs but nothing showed up in my x-rays. He thinks they are inflamed, gave me a prescription, and a print out on how to take care of my feet/exercise them for the time being to help ease the pain. If this doesn't help, then I have to go back in 6 weeks, which I REALLY hope all this works cause then I have to get a shot of cortisone in both heels. -__- (my sis had to have that done)
Then before the doc saw me, they took 4 tubes of blood from me! *sniffles* That is to just check my sugar, cholesterol, protein, all that crap, which is good I guess since I never was checked for all that before. And the other vile was to test something regarding my foot to be on the safe side. Granted, I don't mind shots or needles but just the idea of them taking something from me, makes me squirm. Thank god I couldn't feel the needle going in but I can't watch the blood flow into the tube. I hate the warm feeling and the wooziness that first overcomes me when they first start taking my blood but afterwards it wasn't too bad. Last time I can recall that I had blood taken was when I was 16 and had both strep and mono and they took 7 tubes of blood just to test for mono -_______-;;;;
The worse shot I ever got was the anthrax shot when we were in Kuwait the 2nd time ('98). They would put the shot in the meaty part of the back of your arm and not long before they were finished, your arm would start to burn. It felt as if someone snapped you REALLY hard with a rubber band. The next day, you'd start to develop an ugly knot that reminded you of a mosquito bite but much bigger and it ITCHED like crazy. We had to do this 6 times; 3x's while we were in Kuwait, and then we had to get the last 3 when we got back to the states.
I'm anxious to see if I'll get a call regarding my blood samples or not, I'm aiming for the NOT part but I would like to know what my tests show, good or bad.
So thats my exciting day for today. >_
