Okay, I held back on the news for a week now since #1. I wanted to get pics and #2. trying to find the time to write about it.
We did adopt the kitty we saw at Petsmart last Mon. that bubba liked. Not a bad price for a cat who is already declawed, fixed, and has his shots. He's a little over a yr old and we call him Smokey cause of his color. I was very nervous about taking him home cause of knowing how Sam would act. But we were a bit surprised on how Sam did react. He did hiss and growl a little but that was about it. Then for about a week, he would walk up to Smokey, smack him across the head with his paw and then walk off, as if letting him know who rules the roost. There are times still that they get on bad sides and hiss, growl, and throw fits but still not as bad as I thought it would be. Sometimes they'll chase each other down the hallway or they kinda fight over who gets to sit on the windowsill in my computer room (where most of these pics are taken except where Smokey is laying on the sill). Smokey had/has some bad habits such as trying to chew on my computer cords, go behind my compy stand, JUMP on the fucking counters and found the bread wrapper torn into -__________-;;;;;. We now had to move the bread to the top of the fridge. Have to find the squirt water bottle and start spraying him when we catch him in the act of jumping on things. Now the furniture is no prob, just not in the kitchen. THEN I caught the bastard CHEWING a small hole in the screen in the window in my room!!!!!!!!!!! I haven't see him do it since but we're going to break him of that habit SOON if he keeps that shit up.
I'm so use to having a fat cat around the house, Smokey needs to gain some weight *snickers* MY GOD! When we were going home after we bought the cat, he smelled SO BAD and we don't know why. Perhaps staying in the cage so long and I've seen some cats at the stores lay in their litter box cause of not enough space to lay down. Bubba EVEN smelled like the cat cause he was holding him till we got a box carrier to put the cat in. Course as soon as we got home, I had to give the cat a bath and boy was that fun >__< at least he didn't have claws. Sam doesn't even put up a fight like Smokey did but he sure smells better now *nodsnods*.
I kinda felt bad at first cause I'm sure Sam was pissed at us for a few days for replacing him. He wouldn't really let us touch him but he finally came out of his shell. I know I sound stingy for saying this but I love Sam the most, even though I will find room to love Smokey, but it'll take some time to get use to having two cats now. I'll put a link to the pics at the end of the entry.
smartycat Bubba finally took a pic of the 250gal fishtank last night. He made the top cover himself and restained the stand. I woke up last night before work and saw he had it setup. I have no clue how he did it when that bitch is so heavy to carry in; dolley or no dolley.
Here be the
fishtank. It may not look that big but believe me, you have to see it in person to know how big it is. Bubba thinks that we both could sit in it. This puppy is going to take quite some time and work to get everything set up for fishies.
Now, I bring you pics of the
cats!!Sam is the light haired and Smokey is the dark grey. Makes me mad with the flash cause Sam has very pretty blue eyes. And he's only fat cause he's fixed, not cause he eats alot (which he doesn't). Sam is my baby! *nodsnods* The 2nd pic of him sleeping, he had his paw over his face as if covering it. By the time I got back to take his pic, he moved his paw so this is what I got. All the pics of the cats sleeping (except Smokey on the couch), were all taken on Sunday which must have been their lazy day. Those cats slept ALL DAY!! And they wouldn't budge for nothing! If I tried to get a cd off the bed that Smokey was on in my compy room, he'd look up at me, meow, and go back right to the position he was sleeping. The 6th pic, Smokey isn't playing with Sams' tail, its just the way his paws are when he's sleeping. Man, the life of a cat!!!
