Went with bubba to go to his sis's house again this weekend since his BIL's mom was having a little party/cookout on Sat. Then Sun. he and BIL finished up on building the fishtank stand, actually building the wood around the steel frame. Talk about HEAVY!!! but at least its pretty damn sturdy for that 210 gal fishtank we'll eventually work on setting up.

I'm not sure how the weather was here at the house but there were some decent storms come by the lake both days and now its clear out. THANK GOD this time while I was gone and set my VCR for Sat. night's anime shows, the electric didn't go out.

Caught up on reading my flist too when I got home tonight. Already have ones jotted down that I need to comment on later tomorrow.

I must thank two special friends for making my weekend when I got home. *snuggles both*

We are FINALLY going grocery shopping in the morning, its been about 4 weeks since we've gone to do it. And the fridge and freezer is about bare.

Now to see if I can't get some decent sleep.

Me bad, I knew that wasn't quite the size of the tank, its actually 250 gal. I need to go back and correct my entry.

Here is a pic of it empty (and still is). Hubby built the top of the tank too.

We were thinking about going salt but with everything we'd have to put into it, time, and lots of money, we opted to do fresh. We go to the Dallas North Aquarium store that we fawn over every time and there is a guy there who we tend to stick with that's helped us alot with certain things. The tanks they have set up at that place, if it were possible to reach that high, I'd dry hump them furiously. I found this one tank that had a neat setup and we're thinking of setting the big one up that way, kinda like a tier layered look. We'll be doing this tank from scratch with everything, pumps and all.

We also have a 110 set up in the living room that has about 45 different fish, fresh of course. Hubby has been trying to look into adding more plants to it and for awhile, we've been having problems on them staying alive. The fish store guy gave us some advice and by sticking to that has helped a bit. Hubby took pics of that tank, I have to wait till I get home in the morning for him to show me and then I'll upload them to show.

I never met someone like my bubba who was just soooo into fish. Even when we were living in the barracks while in the army, he even had a tank setup in his room.

The one house we lived in, we had a tank built into the wall that would be shown through the living room. What it was, was a hallway closet we had no use for and hubby's BIL is a carpenter and helped out on setting and building it. I'm not sure if we have pics of it laying around somewhere but when I think back on it all the time, I really miss it.

I've seen your posts in Pond's lj and I've been wanting to reply to your pet store/pet type posts but kept forgetting. Thanx for taking an interest in the tank.

*snickers* I am such an animal geek I had to. Once I saw the picture I started getting all sorts of ideas of what to put in there :) (I was thinking discus or an arawana.)
