Love him!! I had an older sister and an Aunt who were Garfield nuts when I was little so I grew up with the cuteness. Plus my other aunt who could get hardback books for cheap, use to get us those Garfield books that came out that had the comics in them. Plus there's all sorts of neat books that Jim came out with. There was this one I have called G's 9Lives, there are some FREAKY (yet either kinda sick or silly)stories/cartoons regarding the G characters. It doesn't help that I'm a cat lover too. ^_~
It never ceases to amaze me how Nermal is a guy and yet he doesn't look like it.... Eh. My current favourites are the ones where Garfield and the spider have a showdown.
Oh I know, I always thought Nermal was a girl till later on. I'm surprised Jim never thought about giving Garfield any children to Ilene (or however you spell her name). That would be funny to see. Yeah the spider clips are always so silly, though I don't blame G, I don't like Spiders or Mondays either.

I agree, that cat causes Jon so much trouble, I'm surprised he still has him around. Jon would be lost w/out him though, regardless of G treats him *lol*

Well now a days, its kinda hard to find those that still draw GW or to even find those that know what GW is or who would be willing to try and draw them regardless. Here is a list of those I have commissioned before or bought their art at cons:

tesstrosa I had a FMA RoyxRiza commish as well as Shigure pic commished from her this summer. Her prices are pretty good too pending on if you want a sketch, inked, or CG'ed. Here is the RxR pic. (I posted my Akon goods back in June but I really haven't pimped the art yet). And this was my Shigure commish by her. She will send you the finished product in the mail.
I'm sure if you ask them (aside from Jurty), they might be able to try it out. I know that Telophase has done GW art before.
Oh and before I forget, Spoony does some very nice GW art too. She lives in the Dallas area too (how lucky can I get?). This 1xR I bought from her at Akon. She takes commissions too, I think her email is faprints@yahoo.com try it out and see if it is correct, she seems to reply pretty quick. Plus she's going to be at Afest next month when I go.
hehehehe, I get my daily dose of it in my LJ, there's a syndicate link you can sign up for to have it in you LJ. Plus you can also get the comic sent in your email by going to garfield.com and click on it somewhere on the site, I know thats how my hubby gets his.
